(1) When the video flash showing 2 police pull out their firearms and one kicking a kneeling older man --- I thought the police have been emotional.
(2) But when I saw the earlier video of 6 police being hammer violently by a big mob of protestors with iron rod, wooden poles and other objects --- I thought those mobs will be killing the 6 police who keep retreating and one brave police even use his shield to ward off the raining blow of the metal rods to save his fallen comrade police from being beaten to death.
(3) Then my sympathy go to the 6 police - why they pull out their pistols to point at the mobsters.

(1) The HK mobsters have turned too violent - and are bent to sabotage HK, vandalise public infrastructure - and have broken all laws.
(2) Even one day when the protest die down, they must be identified, arrested and put into trial for assault, vandalism and sabotage.
(3) Their criminal acts should not be let go scott free - and punishment must come down hard on them - so that this serve as a warning that violent don't pay, breaking the law don't pay.

""If the police can't control their emotion, how can they be valiant and restrained?" a Facebook user commented."
Emotion? This is a matter of life and death!
If the policemen don't fire, then what, injured or worse killed by the mob?

An eye for an eye, soon the whole world will go blind. The Hong Kong situation is getting worse. Time for restraint from both sides.

Hong Kong police is too soft.
Richard Kam
You are right if it was in other countries especially US all the police cornered would have shot those rioters instead of just one firing his shot in the air. Those rioters funded secretly by the so called US National Endowment for Democracy is actually an offshoot of the CIA with their huge allocations from the US government.

First protest against the extradiction bill
Second protest against the mob attack by a group of gang wearing white shirts against protesters.
Third protest against a girl got injured in one of her eye from bean bag fired by the police.
Fourth protest against police firing a warning shot.
Fifth protest against police using water cannons.
Sixth protest against police for using weapons more superior than theirs.
Seventh protest against police for refusing them to protest.
Eight protest against China invading Hong Kong.
The last protest may be mellow with all protesters protesting at home under curfew and hitting their pails, pots and pans while looking out at those PLA soldiers patrolling the streets of Hong Kong 😜😜😜

The retaliatory actions of SAR Police with water cannons, gun fire and any other weapons to protect themselves against the violent mobs definitely have the full support of all sensible people around the world. If such retaliations are unable to quell these criminals, bring in the brave PLA to crush them.

Those stupid and reckless protesters are hell-bound to destroy themselves and Hong Kong. They also will destroy the livelihood of the silent majority. If they don't like to live peacefully in HK and unable to adapt, by all means they can choose to emigrate to countries that are willing to accept them. Knowing their background as rioters, countries may be reluctant to accept them in the first place. I recall In one of the Bruce Lee's movies, there was a signboard displayed by the British at the gate of a compound: "Dogs and Chinese not allowed in." Although it is just a movie, these stupid protesters have not grasped the historical humilation and dared to wave the British flag in the LegCo building and on the streets. Shameful!

That sign board is not a fiction in bruce lee movie, it really did exist in HK during the period before WW2. China was considered the weak man of Asia and the superpowers all want to cut off a piece of it. China was force feed opium and HK loaned to UK after they lost the naval war. those protestor are now fighting to put back that sign in the name of freedom to screw up themselves.
