Actually financial education should be taught at young age and extended to all Singaporeans on :-
(1) the virtue of savings
(2) accumulation of wealth at young age
(3) investment in safe, guaranteed instrruments like CPF, insurance scheme, FD etc - on compounded interest to accumulate and compound wealth
(4) saving for rainy days

Etc.

This will help people from young the virtue of refrain from being a spend thrift and to save for retirement.

This is especially important when career breakage are becoming more frequent - due to tech disruption - that will break career more often.

Savings in rainy day - will come in handy to help people - during a career crisis.
