Political leadership spend their entire life building and developing Singapore.

Many of the inner thoughts and the process of developing policies, forming the Cabinets and other intricacies are not reported in news.

Thus by writing personal memoirs, it will be useful in documenting many details that are not known to the public.

It will be a collective Wisdom that are passed down to future generations - if successive leaders write their personal memoirs and reveal many of the inner thoughts and governing aspects not known to public - that will otherwise have been lost.

Personal memoirs of successive leaders --- should be part of Singapore Heritage that need to promote and preserve.

Leadership renewal is vital to any country or organisation, but as far as I am concerned, Singapore's leadership has gotten worse and worse - from LKY to GCT was not a better leader, from GCT to LHL is bad, and if CCS will be the next Pm then God help us.

Let us look at the key Governance Performance Indicators in Singapore objectively to see how well the successive Singapore Leaders perform since 1960s until today 2018 :-

(1) GDP US$349.7 billion (nominal; 2018 est.)[1]
US$554.9 billion (PPP; 2018 est.)[1]

(2) GDP per capita
US$61,766 (nominal; 2018 est.)
US$98,014 (PPP; 2018 est.) -- rank 3rd highest in the World

(3) Singapore Global trade is 3 times the size of our GDP.

(4) Singapore Government has signed and in the process of signing many multilateral and bilateral FTAs across the Globe - such as CPTPP, RCEP, CSFTA, EU-Sing FTA, USA-Sing FTA, Aust-Sing FTA, Russia Bloc-Sing FTA, S Korea-Sing FTA, ASEAN Economic Community, Japan-Sing FTA, India-Sing FTA, Africa-Sing FTA etc etc etc

(5) Singapore Sovereign Funds and Singapore businesses have invested heavily across the Globe - and are doing very well.

(6) A high home ownership rate of 90 percent has improved the lives of Singaporeans significantly.

So which aspects of "Singapore's leadership has gotten worse and worse" --- in your words.
