(1) These foreigners coming to work, study or come for business - misuse their visa, work permit or travel pass - to organise illict activities - and yet when deported - make hue and cry in international space by making protest at our embassy.

(2) Organising poltiical activities are bad enough - and yet these people organise arm struggle and violence ---- that greatly compromise Singapore's peace and break Singapore law.

(3) Singaporeans should keep our eyes and ears alert - and watch out for such foreigners - and report them to the Authorities so that actions can be taken against them and get them deported.

(4) These foreigners are a menance to our Society - taking advantage of our hospitality.

These people should be treated as "dangerous element" - as they are wearing their Army fatigue and brandishing replica weapons.

This is serious - as they are "recruiting armed personnel and blatantly displaying armed forces maneouver on stage" - in our Sovereign soil.

Our security forces should treat this as foreign incursion - and arrest them expeditiously.

(1) I believe the person who book the CC facilities is a local - as I think foreigners cannot book.

(2) CC facilities cannot be book for political activities.
Check the PA website for terms and conditions for the booking.

Danny Lum , Then the person who book the facility should be held responsible as well. AT the very least should be a fine for him.

Danny Lum That is correct. A person holding an NRIC may book a facility if it is available.

Hi Sam,
Let us be fair, It would be impossible for the CC personnel to ensure that such incidents can be prevented, especially, when the applicant put in false reason for use of the Hall. SPF has done the right thing, and such FT must be deported and bar from ever returning to Singapore.

(1) The following are the action can be done - against anyone who violate the T&C in booking the CC facilities :-

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR BOOKING OF PA FACILITIES
1. Bookings of PA facilities are governed by the terms and conditions set out below.
2. All PA facilities must be used for community, social or recreational purposes only. Commercial activities (including but not limited to private coaching sessions), religious activities and such other activities which, in the People's Associations (PA) view, are not conducted for community, social or recreational purposes are strictly prohibited.
3. Where a booking is found to be in violation of these Terms and Conditions, PA reserves the right to cancel the booking and forfeit the booking fees paid.

When Mindef setup SAFVC, less than 1% of ALL new citizens, civil servants, FTs & PRs in Singapore joined but strangely all these PA,RC,SCEC,CC...etc are all filled with PAP's pets('New voters' for the incumbent) :D
Clearly, We can see that these new arrival would prefer to stay under the shade & save 2 years of their lives :D

This is hilarious. The news implies that our Singapore government trusts the foreigners more than the locals. They believes what they have written in the application and there is zero check on what kind of event they are holding... This is so much different as compared to the opposition party... When I am out walking on the street, I do ask myself whether this is my country.

The staff on duty should check and not depend on other to report. Govt always think that foreigners are good and better then Singaporean. 30 years ago they can be better but now I do not think so. Most of them are jobless in their own country. They earn cheap but better then in their own country. As for Singaporean they always think we are overpaid.

Those foreigners can retire comfortably in their own countries but it is not the case for locals. Many Singaporeans cannot find a suitable job in his/her own country due to the influx of FTs let alone retiring comfortably like them... I think, in my personal opinion, we are the only country in the world which prefer foreigners over locals.

just goes to show, they have no respect for the laws of Singapore as guests, what more for their country of birth.

There are thousands of racial and religious minorities from various countries living, working, studying, doing business in Singapore. There will most likely be some who came with intentions to raise funds or even raise armies to fight for their independence or whatever struggles back at home.

This is no difference from 100+ years ago when Dr. Sun Yat Sen came to Singapore and various other countries to raise funds for a revolution to fight the Qing Dynasty government in China.

As long as Singapore remains an open society, it is nearly impossible to block people from coming to Singapore and use the city as their overseas base. It is only possible to limit their actions. Using community centers, filming and publishing videos of their clause is too open and Singapore authorities should clamp down on these activities. However, it is impossible to stop these people gathering at homes and coffeeshops to raise funds and recruit fighters.
