Dr M has always not agreed with Singapore values in governing Singapore since independence - and have tried in many ways to give Singapore a hard time.

And Singapore has succeeded in building Singapore to be a prosperous State, racial harmony, well developed Nation and successful in many ways - much more successful than Dr M's racial discrimination, money politics and other failures.

And yet Dr M now suddenly want to become a beacon of democracy - and trying to teach South Asian Countries its "sucess in bringing about democratic revolution and success of Malaysia".

It is really great joke of the year.

While Singapore aspire to have good relationship with Malaysia and to strive for win-win outcome in the relationship --- Singapore need to be on guard with this old man --- who in his heart does not want Singapore to do well --- and use his "covert or overt" means to bring Singapore down.

用李 - There are 3 things that SG Gov must always do :-
(1) Government remain clean
(2) Government help to raise the Standard of Living of Singaporeans - by creating jobs, creating wealth
(3) Government help to contain the Cost of Living of Singaporeans

By able to achieve the above 3 things - will guarantee the SG Government will continue to remain in power for a long long time.

The GWP was around US$78.28 trillion in nominal terms and totalled approximately US$107.5 trillion in terms of purchasing power parity (PPP).
US is only US$19 trillion in GDP.

Total World trade of goods and services are $41.6 trillion.

US trade contribute only $4.9 trillion.

EU trade = $5.4 trillion (more than US).
China and HK trade = $5.6 trillion (more than US).

Japan trade = $1.6 trillion.
S Korea trade = $1.1 trillion.
Canada trade = $0.984 trillion.
Singapore trade = $0.917 trillion.
India trade = $0.917 trillion.
Mexico trade = $0.824 trillion.

The World by cooperating (without US) contribute = $36.7 trillion.

You think the World cannot live without US?

The World must try to trade, do business, invest - without the Trump led US - that is trying to bring the World to his knees.

The World must operate as though Trump-led US don't exist in this World.

Multi-lateral trade deals such as RCEP, trade with EU, CPTPP etc are very good multi-lateral trade deals - to build an effective "Trade Firewall" to prevent Trump led US from holding the World hostage in trade.

There will be pain while doing so.
But eventually when everyone succeed, Trump led US will be effectively "cut out" from the Global Supply Chain and the Global Trade.

Then the World will wait for Trump - to crawl back to the World with both his knees - 三跪九叩 - to beg the Worldto take US back to the World Global Trade.

The World must stand resolute and determination in building up the "World Trade Firewall" - against Trump bullying and strong arm tactics to bring the World to the knees.

The World should in turn bring Trump on his knees and crawl back - to beg for mercy.

Disagreed . Trump must pin down PRC first. I would support Trump untill PRC is being pined down & stop to be a BIG BULLY, especially in South China Sea. Only Trump can do it !

With or without USA, I believe the global trade can still operate under the WTO umbrella. The WTO forms the important framework for reaching trade concensus . If WTO shuts down, whose ruling to follow ? Seem very much that Trump is trying to create his own version of Trump Trade Organization (TTO) akin to how he gotten every building to trademark his TRUMP name and draw royalty fee in returns. Great plan and vision for a man daring to dream big !!!

Without USA...the WTO will be like a car with 3 wheels only.

I am sure...Trump will stop Swift from being used as payment systems for trade between member nations of WTO.
The USA has the power to ban the use of Swift...just like those nations or companies who violated the US sanctions... against Iran, N Korea and Cuba...
Swift has over 15,000 banks and financial organisations affiliated with it...and trading between nations is hampered seriously without the use of these gigantic organisational networks..for settling payments in international trade.

Without a parallel international trade organisation(new, yet to be set up), ...now the USA can do without WTO...but the WTO cannot survive without USA.

Trump is consistent..very consistent, in his action against international organisation....dumping the UNESCO, NAFTA, TPP, Paris Accord, and soon WTO.

If the USA withdrew from WTO, then it will not survive...the end of WTO.

In anticipation of such a move, Europe and Iran are in the process of forming a parallel organisation..to take over all the functions now undertaken by WTO. The preliminary meeting, the Europeans had with Iran and others was held last week.

Yes, PRC is a big bully but it is the country who has the right or share in South China Sea give up the fight. Philippines is one of them. Why? because all these poor countries want money from China.
