It takes a change of government to uncover all the false accounting that has been going on for decades. Governments have no accountability and that is why it is so important to have a change of government every 5 or 10 years. When governments are in power for too long like 60 years in MY and SG a lot will be uncovered! Their fears of being found out is the main reason why they cling to power and suppress all opposition.

Ivy Goh - you mention that SG should undergo a change in Gov after 5 to 10 years to uncover corruption.

Your hypothesis is flaw :-
(1) If a Government is corrupt, even you change every 5 to 10 years - corruption still will be there.
(2) If a Government is not corrupted, even 100 years corruption will not be there.

If Singapore is doing so well - and you propose to change it for the sake of changing, you are as good as saying - we dig our own graves to jump in to die early even though we are doing well.
