I think there is one valid concern mentioned by one poster here. I think our young professionals are lucky to be living in Singapore, the best city for young professionals.
So, our govt needs to focus more on the older professionals' job prospects. This is especially important as our population ages and the average age of our worker may go up to 40+ or 50+ years old. Already, the decline in the population of our young is being felt in the merging of many schools here.
And, this smaller population of our young will translate to a smaller population of young workers in the future. The sooner we recognize the need to supplement our smaller younger workforce with older workers, the better.
