Legroom even for Asian (who are shorter) is already a problem for a long flight.

Westerners have a tall physique - and the narrow space between the seats is a real issue - because it can be uncomfortable for a long flight - though give and take by erecting the seat especially when taking a meal is a required etiquette on a flight.

Otherwise, how does a person consume his/her meal if the front seat is not erected?
But in the long term, plane makers should really consider cater sufficient spaces for legroom - at least the leg can straighten when sleeping even for Economy class.
