The Middle East has not been a hotspot for a long while as it was overshadowed by the other 2 hotspots and the baby hotspot in Africa until the caliphate come into picture.

Indeed the central of Middle East hotspot is the formation of caliphate.

A hotspot is one that have Global impact - security, safety and economic impact.
