"This was partly because of weaknesses in the countries currently affected, it said, where health systems were fragile and lacking in human, financial and material resources.

It also said inexperience in dealing with Ebola outbreaks and misperceptions of the disease, including how it is transmitted, "continue to be a major challenge in some communities"."

Yes the above statements say it all.

Ebola that is not transmitted through the air - is a transmission preventable virus - but due to mismanagement have lost control - and now is spreading like wild fire among the local communities.

Many have to perish as a result.

Now quarantine and control - seems to be the only way to prevent the spread of the virus.

As for those infected, seems like the only way is to treat the symptom as cure is still not found.

Not sure if the experimental drug can help?

Luckily, drastic measures had been undertaken at the source for MERs.

Otherwise MERs that is transmittable via air - maybe more devastating than Ebola - and mass infection will be far and wide - especially during the Haj period where so many people from all over the World congregate.

Luckily, there is minimal casualties succumb to MERs during Haj - 2nd year of miracle escape from a deadly virus with no cure.
