A fair and objective assessment of PAP performance to date :-
(1) Economically and Financially - PAP did very well.
Let us look at the statistics :-
- Sovereign Fund Reserve (GIC, Temasek Holding, MAS) = S$1.19294 trillion
- Per Capita GDP (PPP) = $90,531 per annum (per capita GDP - PPP) (2 graduates family with combined income of $7,544 per month or $3,772 each or 2 poly graduates family with 3 years working experience will have achieved this) - after Luxemborg and Qatar - richer than US, Japan, EU, China etc.
- 1 to 2 room flat receive Government transfer = S$10,245 per household
- Other household receive Government transfer = S$4,433 per household
- more than 90% house ownership (one of the highest in the World)
- Unemployment Rate in Singapore = 2.20% (one of the lowest in the World)

Challenges facing Singapore :-
(1) Security challenges - eg. Malaysia bi-lateral relationship - vessel intrusion, airspace dispute, water disputes etc.

(2) Port shipping challenges

(3) Air transport into our airport

(4) US-China trade tension - that can disrupt global supply chain

(5) Territorial dispute between Singapore and Malaysia

--- These will have serious and long lasting impact in Singapore security and Singapore Economy.

--- The call for stable Leadership transition and support of PAP ----- is a real "existential needs" ---- for without doing so ---- it will impact our :-
(1) Financial reserves - as it may be wasted away if run by incompetent people.

(2) Security challenges - that our hostile neighbor up north - will think of "1000 ways to skin a cat" ------ so far PAP has done very well to usurp almost any issues that this neighbor raise.

(3) Economically - we will plummet if led by inexperienced and less than competent people who have no idea on how to run a Country (or who is not even a Minister quality).

Challenges face by some individual Singaporeans and some Singaporean household :-

(1) Jobs - Some household with sole breadwinner - may face the reality of retrenchment (due to reasons such as business restructuring or whatever reason --- lose their jobs).
--- This is the most disastrous impact to the affected household -- who rely on the sole breadwinner to bring in the income to feed the whole family.

---- If inflation badly affect household with job and income ---- what is more disastrous if a sole breadwinner lose his/her job ---- the whole family will be badly affected.

I feel that Government can do more to help this group of people - who seek help -- to help them tie over the predicarment (with some financial assistance) and eventually help them secure a good paying job.

(2) The cost of living - do pose problem with Singaporeans especially those at the middle-income (sandwich class) and lower income group - because Singapore cost of living is indeed quite high.

If the 4G Government Leaders can win over some discontented Singaporeans over the individual challenges that these Singaporeans face, specifically :-
(1) Help retrenched or jobless Singaporeans - find jobs and tweak the policies to provide some financial assistance to help these group of Singaporeans (when they are retrenched).

(2) Mitigate and lessen the impact of cost of living on the lower-income and the middle-income (sandwiched group)

Then I think even this affected and discontented group of Singaporeans --- will change their mind and support the smooth transition of Leadership --- specifically the 4G PAP Leadership.

No Singaporeans want to hurt themselves by electing a Government that will bring instability to Singapore ---- at the back of their mind ---- they know that only PAP Leaders can give stability and security to Singapore and Singaporeans.

But some Singaporeans who fall behind, or who get hurt (such as losing jobs) --- will need the Government to give them some boost = like helping them to find good jobs with good pay or help to mitigate the high cost of living ----- will indeed help the Government to win them over ---- and provided the needed "vote" to elect PAP and give a strong mandate to PAP in the coming General Election.

Wayang and talk cock again!

Too many NSF and NSmen, who provided our stability, have died which can be prevented.
Millions of sensitive medical records, which including PM's, continue to leak, how to insist to be a smart nation?
Recently on 29 Jan, MRT trains system continue to delay & breakdown, despite million dollars spent, resulted fares increased that has caused the spiral effect on the high cost of living.
Many MGs & PGs did not get their CPF payout even after 70 yrs old, due to injustice and misleading CPF policy & letter stated "no action needed" but actually need to apply with form, which should be automatic at 65!
So many pervert teachers, HOD & principals in MOE that repeatedly brought shame & social evils, esp with recent fake certificate & HIV leak case.
Failure to protect our sovereignty with foreign vessels in SG water.
50,000 missing mails repeatedly discarded in dustbins by Singpost staffs, which allowed by irresponsible Singpost CEO.

Justin Lee dont talk about CPF... it upsets me cos I know I have been LIED BY THE GOV, when I made my first COF contribution, which states I will withdraw my CPF when I turn 55 years old.

We own our own monies yet we have a kaypo gov who teaches ppl who turned 55yo, that they are not sensible to handle their own monies.

This is a bloody scam!

Singapore has become too stable that is why all ministries and ministers are becoming too complacent resulting in so many screw ups. It is time to rock the boat to either wake them up or kick them out.

CCS supported FM Heng, saying : "....challenges and problems, we will double down and put things right."

Let's see...if the 4-G team can solve two long standing serious problems... the regular breakdowns of trains... the flood of Indian immigrants taking over our good jobs... (the consequences of a flawed trade agreement with India).

The current Ministers have not been able to put things right ... We have been suffering the consequences for years now...

Can we see real improvements ?

Talking is easy... getting results is NOT.
Hope FM Heng and CCS are able leaders who could really improve things...can walk the talk....to improve our life...

Talk is cheap....what stability when you allow the Malaysian Foreign Affair to size that Geek vessel in our territorial waters. Can’t even handle a situation like that and yet dare to say we have guts to make bold decision....from this incident alone the whole is able to see how weak we are!!! You can throw away your useless talk into the drain.

Your stability is not founded on peace. Stability in Sin means the use of suppression and the burying of the undercurrent of unrests and injustices by the rule of law, without resolving diabolical roots. It is achieved with rigorous regulation, enforcement and more control.

Your main purpose for a “stable environment” is to enhance and consolidate corporate power for self enrichment(invested treasures). You sanction covetousness and pride under the covers of professionalism and seductive intellectualism.

You should have been a pulpit preacher because of your prowess in temptation.

Mr Chan, in my opinion the govt shouldn't give our hard-earned money (our taxes) to people in the form of Pioneer/ Medeka package. By all means help the needy people but not everyone in such groups are needy people. Giving away free money is like buying votes.

When we talk about stability, we should recognize that it was the inferior British COWARDS who ran away with their TAIL BETWEEN THEIR LEGS when the Japanese bombs fell onto our soil and it was the BRAVE SINGAPOREANS then, who fought 3.5 years and suffered the occupation.

After 3.5 years, THE BRITISH COWARDS had the cheek (skin thicker than an elephant's ass) to return and govern us!

It was that 3.5 years that MADE SINGAPOREANS RESOLUTE AND FEARLESS! Our fearless forefathers who doesnt fear the Japanese demons nor their bombs, gave birth to the SINGAPORE today!

Why bother celebrating Bicentennial giving much recognition to the COWARDS who eventually abandon us in the face of the storm?

Most Singaporean has never experienced what is bad government . They had been brought up in safe well run country.
the government had provide a well plan system from birth to grave.
However, citizen had become too reliance on the government. So it citizen has been spoil.
which resulted a society of complainers.

For a Society to be developed and matured it need to learn to be wiser.
instead of just complaining, they have to give some thought.
Before any complaints, is there any better alternatives or solutions.

Will be the future where COI is conducted just to go through the motion and investigations sweep aside. We need a better capable leader from the private sector, not from public service.
