“If there are any attempts to assert authority or take any unauthorised actions, our agencies, our vessels and our forces will take appropriate actions.”
--
This demonstrate that Singapore will not relent even 1 inch of our Territorial Water - and will not hesitate to take actions to safeguard our Territorial Water.

Our submarines, missile frigates and airforce - will ensure that we have the neccessary military muscle to enforce and safeguard our Territorial Water.

A suggestion is that, our frigates - should look into arming itself with LRASM (Long Range anti-ship missile) - of at least 560 km and above and a radar above 560 km.
Without such long range sea-skimming missiles - our submarines and air force will be providing such capabilities with effective deterrent - to keep Malaysia frigates from coming to our shores within 560 km.
With the support of our AWACs, drones and satellite - our submarines and air force can detect, pinpoint and destroyed them before it come close to our shore of 560 km. They don't have such AWACs capabilities - thus their fri
gate by itself is better than our frigates - but overall, they will lose hand down.
Though our frigates can defend itself with supersonic anti-missile system at Mach 4 against Malaysian naval strike anti-ship missile below mach 1 but its anti-ship missiles can fire at longer range of 560 km.
For our frigates to kill their frigates - we need to move into 140 km firing range.

Our naval assets that can destroy their frigates without detection is our submarine.

(yet some smart alec here say we don't need submarines.)

Our submarines is the game-changer - and their most fearful naval assets (of course they fear our air force).

The best part is - submarine only need to fire 1 torpedo without detection - and their most advanced frigate will sink.
No need to saturate their anti-missile system - to go for the kill.

Ricky Lim our frigate has low radar signiture...from 500km i dont think they can target us..

Ricky Lim
Uuthyam Dass - Thanks for the assurance, their frigate is also stealth - and they similarly have low signature. But their NSM is very long range (in fact LRASM) - at 560 km - ours harpoon is only 140 km or slightly more (if we used more advanced harpoon).
That means if they fire their NSM from their KL frigate workshop with Mach 1 - their NSM can reach our shore - and we need to use C-RAM of Mach 4 to shoot it down - and explode over Johor territory.

We have to get closer to them about 140 km to shoot at them - whereas they can shoot at us at far longer range - maybe 250 km (to get a better signature of us).

Our frigates build earlier than them (they are building now) ---- are not equipped with LRASM.

Unless our frigates upgrade our radar and retro-fit LRASM into our frigates - then we are on par with theirs.

As of now, our only effective naval assets against them is our submarines - where they have problem detecting. We can use sonar to detect their frigates and shoot at their stealth frigates with torpedo.

Their 2 submarines are not AIP, always in workshops (but we have to assume they are operational) - and our submarines are more advanced than theirs - as we are AIP and we have better sonar than theirs.

This mean we can submerged longer without being detected, detect their submarine earlier, and sink their submarines.

Ricky Lim Sorry your Swimming Turds called submarines can't do anything. Told you everyone has moved on to anti-sub tech. They use cheap 100rm drones swimming around the frigates as decoys to trick your billion dollar subs firing your Goondoo Torpedoes. Lots of other cheap tech available too.

No Ricky, now don't go and Google and come back with last minute chim chim terminology to defend your subs. We're all just internet trolls at the end of the day.

You won't get any respond from me -- as my time can be better spent elsewhere.

A foreign vessel, namely the Polaris, has been asserting its authority in "Singapore waters" for many weeks now. What nonsense is VB talking about not allowing foreign government vessels to assert authority?

And his answer to a ship being given instructions by both countries is meaningless because both sides are adamant that the waters belong to them. The question remains, what should a ship do if they are given conflicting instructions? His answer is to ignore Malaysian instructions while Malaysia's answer is to ignore Singapore's instructions. A neutral ship would be just as confused and this unhelpful answer brings us no closer to avoiding another incident like the Pireas collision.

Yi Yong Ke will he listen? They're all tone deaf. When PMETs ask for the number of foreigners to be restricted in white collar jobs, they restrict the service sector instead.

When we ask for our CPF to be returned at 55, they make all sort os excuse why it can't be done. Will they ever listen?

The irony of all you desktop critics is that you still go to msia for holidays and cheap shopping. In the event of water level goes up and Singapore goes underwater, Malaysia would be the 1st country we run to for help and shelter.

Kenny Williams, S'pore will be too naive (or simply dreaming) to seek help from M'sia when we clearly know that they just want to see our downfall ?
In fact it's the other way round that we even help them in providing them more than agreed treated drinkable water when their rivers dried up and S'porean also help them economically when we go there to spend ? However, in return we only receive "bashing" from all those ungrateful, inhumane and lawless "crude people".
Hope you're not one of them ?

Kenny Williams - As sea levels rise, Singapore prepares to stem the tide
Seawalls and rock slopes already protect over 70 per cent of Singapore's coastline.

Malaysia probably will have many states that will go under - as they have long coast line and they don't have finance to build seawalls and rock slopes.

Kenny Williams - Budget 2019, travellers who spend less than 48 hours outside Singapore will get a GST relief on the first S$100 worth of goods purchased overseas, instead of S$150 previously.
Those who spend 48 hours or more outside Singapore will get a GST relief on S$500 worth of goods, instead of S$600 previously.

According to recent Johor report --- this measure has reduced Singaporeans going to Johor for shopping by 30%.

This prevent our capital outflow to Malaysia - and a good lesson for the old hat for violating our Sovereignty.
If the 30% reduction has become a trend and can stay for the whole year - that means we will be slash S$4.98 billion or RM$14.94 billion of toursim receipt contribution to Malaysia's Economy.

Pher Kim Huat If you ask me, we should either help Sultan Ibrahim break away from Malaysia and perhaps reunite after 200 years of separation or storm Putrajaya with the consent from the Raja-Raja Melayu.

The Rulers are fed up with the Mamak and the army is said to be loyal to the Rulers. Don't think my scenario is fantasy.

All vessels plying through S'pore waters take instructions from our MPA and foreign govt vessels have no right at all to issue any instruction.
As such, M'sia will be taking their own risk in blocking these narrow commercial shipping lanes with a small "govt sampan" which in actual fact is ironically blocking their own shipping lane for commercial vessels going to their Johor's Pelapas port to load or unload commercial items ?
Thinking that by anchoring a "govt sampan" in our waters can disrupt our shipping activities, they are in fact "slapping themselves" in disrupting the business of Pelapas port ? Also one of these days if they are still so stubborn, one severe incident may crop up to crush their "govrt sampan" into two pieces.
M'sia under the vintage cunning Old M is going to lose more especially when Johor is further expanding the Iskandar industrial area ?

enough is enough! dear govt, do not be afraid to confront intrusion of illegal malaysian vessel let alone deliberately staying put in sg water...if any illegal vessel staying put in sg water and ignoring repeated warning to leave, based on international law, we can send in our forces and detain them and their vessel.... if they dare open fire, we have to rights to kill them...and if a technically bankrupt malaysia gots the means to declare war, we shall teach them a lesson they will never forget....that simple...

I doubt we can get exactly as we claim . Most probably we need to agree that our area of sea to follow the straight line between the two agreed points one at the north between Singapore Malaysia and another is at the southern most point agreed between Singapore and Indonesia current Claims of boundary lines by both Malaysia and Singapore are with sudden big step towards others area which is normally not the case in settling unmarked boundary beteeen two states

The fact that Polaris continued to remain in Singapore waters despite MPA's instruction to leave had already asserted their authority over Singapore. Dr. B, so what are you going to do about that? Let us see some real actions to back up your words. It has been serveral months already still talking? I think you should revise your comment to say "Singapore won't allow foreign government vessels to assert authority except vessels from Malaysia".
