The right "Law" must always be protected & not removed/to be change.

Is Min Shanmugam joking or deluded or a spin doctor?

Since the mandatory hanging for drug trafficking was dumped...(the backdoor way...in order spare the life a young Malaysian trafficker)... drug abuse cases have sky rocketed.
It would be good...if the minister provide facts and figures on the number of drug cases recorded in the last few years. Real reason for the hike in drug abuse cases...the Minister and others have become SOFT on drug traffickers.

Minister, If you really meant what you said "....taken a tough line on drug offences".. reintroduce MANDATORY HANGING for ALL traffickers ..regardless.
Leaders who do... what they said... are respected.

In ancient time, China opium war - the whole China society was destroyed by the opium.

Now it is US turn - to be another "opium" state.

Singapore must not succumb into drug.

The US is no Opium State. Our travels there reveal Vibrant Cities, Towns and Country Side byetlibu with People who care and love. It is Singapore that is slowly going down the slippery path. And Yes, Beware and Be Wary of the China Chinese Men and Women who are Industrial, Economic and Military Spies plus their Women break up Singaporean Families. There are too many of them in our Beloved Country. They should be kicked out and sent back to their Country. We are Singaporean Chinese and not China Chinese. Asean, The US, The Commonwealth, Japan, Korea must deal with these China Chinese with utmost Discipline and Put them in their place. Do not forget what they did to Mongolia, Tibet and Nepal. And close home they wanted to play Havoc in the South China Sea Asean with the US and Commonwealth put a STOP to their actions. We as Singaporeans do not trust the China Chinese and we have no liking or dealings with them. Kick them out of Singapore and SE Asia.

Derek Ee - You are bias against both US and China.

You paint too good a picture on US.
You paint too bad a picture on China.

To survive in this World - you need to be neutral and professional.

We have good ties with both China and US - don't spoil it.

Hi Minister Shanmugam, thanks for your comments and clear position about Drugs & Opioids. While CNB is working to busts all those smugglers & peddlers, HSA working on illegal prescriptive drugs, can I ask why is these activities still thriving in Geylang? I have posted a lot about this major issue in Geylang and even reported to our Geylang Police Station several times. Yet, today nothing much has been done to protect our people from all these illegal street scums! If something like this is to be said by our beloved Ministers, then something serious better be done to our Geylang which is covered by all secret societies/gangsters who is setting up all kinds of illegal activities under our Police Cameras installed. Is there some form of collaborations between our Forces and these Scums? It would be lovely to have CNA do a detective show in Geylang to expose what I've said and show our Nation how shaddy our society really is while our Law is being raped.

Dear friend no need for minister to answer u...i used to go to geylang everyday and the geylang of today is not like what u said...that was the geylang of the past..its no more like that...look at the number of cctv cameras installed in all those lorongs..can one actually do anything there under all that surveillance..the answer is no..as for prostitutes in the past you can choose any woman u want in geylang..even russian whores..now i am talking about 10 years back when geylang was at its peak..now if u go there theres hardly any working girls all are confined to the fish tank brothels and very limited in number..so there again the government has cleaned up the vice on that aspect..as for gangsters what a joke....lol....there isnt any real organised crime here in singapore all the so called secret societies going by these numbers 18, 24, 369, 21,omega are useless in the eyes of the alpha gangster which is 999 singapore police force..one fight or gang related activity..police will be there very quickly..theres even law enforcement groups on patrol in geylang and the police are there everyday all this wil deter any so called gangster..now the crux of the matter is the drugs...some of these are not even gangster related...in fact the so called gangster clans do not encourage their so called" members" to take it..any one who does drugs is doing it on his or her accord nothing to do with "gangsters"..not every drug addict or trafficker is a gangster and it doesnt mean gangster = drug trafficker / drug addict...now as for collaborations between the forces and the gangsters..my opinion is that there is none..look what do you see illegal in geylamg nowadays...theres only the illegal gambling activities..and that will be stopped too...geylang already isnt what it was in past...so rest assured...in a few years time all so called gangsterism and vice activities will be wiped out..but is it a good thing? It just goes to show that our society will be more tight and strict and more and more things will be criminalized...and the public will be very wary of their actions...a robotized society...and again on geylang...look at the area..what are the gangster clans doing about it...? Everyday theres new development going on in geylang..new residential condos and apartments are being built and the whore houses torn down..so a new type of people will live in geylang..the government is smart..they realize geylang is prime land so get rid of vice and drug and gangster activties..and sell land to private developers and make money..thats why all the new buildings there...so very soon due to this the so called gangsters will run out business...and have to comply with the singapore government by having a decent living...master plan of the big don shanmugan : make singapore more a tightly controlled place...criticize the US free way of handling things..of course with indirect support to big brother china in the background...USA may be a country full of drug addicts so as mr shan says but they are still a major superpower and they just have their own way of handling things...in a way mr shan is making a mockery out of america by even doing a comparative case study and urging singapore not to be like them...far from democracy...and ultimately to keep more people in control..thats his game...

Wow, what a decrement on criminals in our CPC, previously numbers of anykind offenders were around 20 thousands in the 90s, and gradually reduced to 15 thousands in the 21st century now only 9 thousands, which mean that our jailing and rehabilitating system by Singapore Prison Authority are working... Kudos to the prison authority for doing good job... Moral of the story is, less and less offenders in prison...and prison might close shop and Judges and Prosecutors lose their jobs...

Minister Shan, when I was attending a rock concert in Toronto, I was told by Canadian friends that half of the people are smoking Marijuana in the stadium. The police has no space in prison for them. Drugs destroy our lives, period. U are always defending 🇸🇬
