So there are 2 options in Mr Lee KY private will : -
(1) Demolition
(2) Preservation law may supersede demolition
--- and the fact that the male sibling is so eager to demolish it ---- knowing the fact that the whole Cabinet unanimously decided in exercising option (2) - to preserve - and was make known to Mr Lee KY ---- demonstrate the siblings' irresponsible action.
There could be many historical treasures in the Oxley House of great values to Singapore and future descendants - that will be destroyed as a result of the demolition.
This show that the siblings - has no interest for Singapore and Singaporeans at heart.

If
Oxley House is not important to Singapore - i believe Cabinet will not
vote unanimously to go against the wish of Mr Lee KY to choose option
(2) to preserve.
Who will want to go against the wish of Mr Lee KY - who are so much respected by Singaporeans --- if not for the vital importance of Oxley House?

if Mr Lee KY on hindsight believe that his option (1) wish to demolish -
will never be materialised - and has thus come out with option (2) to
preserve with conditions ---- demonstrate that Mr Lee KY indeed has
National Interest in mind - ie. to preserve if the Cabinet exercise the
Preservation Law.
This again highlight the recklessness, irresponsible action of the male sibling - to demolish it immediately on the passing of Mr Lee KY.
The male sibling is plain "selfish" - to "blindly obey" his Father's option 1 to demolish - without even pondering his Father option 2 - which is the whole Cabinet's choice (who have the whole National Interest in mind).
That means even Mr Lee KY himself - is willing to concede to the Cabinet's decision.
But the siblings openly challenge and oppose the Cabinet for their open private interest - as oppose to Cabinet (who has the National Interest, the Singapore, the Singaporeans and the future descendants in mind).

(1) Project managers handling projects - big or small - will keep all correspondences, minutes of meetings, audit findings, invoices, budgets, project files, reports etc of various versions - from conception, to end of projects and in fact subsequent maintenance --- so that any issues relating to the projects --- they are documented and any problems relating to the projects are traceable.
This apply to all corporates in all industries and all sectors - whether banking, IT, construction etc.
- not to mention Government matters.
(2) Imagine, Oxley House - has so many vital historical decsion make about Singapore.
There will be many vital documents, minutes, reports, files etc -- that will be kept in the Oxley House due to many meetings held there and may be forgotten or stored in storage in the house somewhere ---- due to the tremendous workload that Mr Lee KY had to handle.
National Archival and National Heritage are not even established during the 1960s.
Imagine the consequences of just demolishing the Oxley House.
