Indian teenager tops exams, eschews college to become monk

Jains follow a strict vegetarian diet and some monks and nuns cover their mouths with fabric to prevent them from accidentally swallowing insects.
Jainism is an ancient Indian religion -- followed by less than one percent of India's 1.25 billion people -- that preaches non-violence and love for all creatures, great and small.
----
Sakyamuni Buddha during 2500 to 3000 years ago - ever told His disciples that there is one religion - though did not listen to Sakyamuni Buddha's discourse nor taught by Sakyamuni Buddha, the religion Jainism has produced many "Pacekka Buddha" or "Silent Buddha" - the same attainment of Arahats (that are taught or follow Sakyamuni Buddha's teaching or Buddhism) - 1st time Perfection in Nirvana.
But Sakyamuni Buddha did explain the difficulty of Jainims practice - of not harming insects, bacteria, cells, micro-organism.
For eg. the moment a Jainism disciples inhale air, many bacteria will have enter the windpipe and bacteria will be killed.
The moment a Jainism disciples drink water, bacteria will be killed by the gastric juice of the human.
The moment a Jainism disciple raise their feet to walk, they will have killed ants or small insects not visible to the eyes or grass, plants etc.
But really appreciate Jainism's help - if it succeed :-
Because its intent mirror the Bodhi Vows of :-

"Leave no one behind.
Leave no sand behind."

And appreciating Jainism's help - conform to this Bodhi Vow :-

"十方十法界,加持及普度。
10 directions of 10 realms provide Blessings and Supports.
Leave no one behind.
Leave no sand behind.“
May Buddha bless you, Amitaba!
