The neighborhood coffeshops, foodstalls - have been increasing their food and drinks already even though the water tax of 30% will only start kicking in from 1 Jul 2017.
Half a duck or chicken was increased by $1.
Some increase their cold drink by 10 cents.
This are profiteering - since now is early Mar - which is 4 months away from 1 Jul.
Also thought that the Government did provide the business tax rebate.
Why such hefty increase in the food price - that will impact many man in the street - in view of the dire economic situation?
Thus one way to deter such blatant increase in prices, will boycott those stalls that increase prices and patronise those stalls that stick to their price.
