Interesting that even Cisco IOS routers and Huawei routers can be hacked - where more than 90% of Internet will be exposed.
So even hardening Cisco IOS routers will not help.
So it is official now that any networks that are connected to Internet - by default can be hacked - because Cisco routers and Huawei routers can be hijacked - even if SSH is enabled with the highest 256 bit keys.

Hm, cisco routers can be hardened :-
ip ssh for cisco routers can configure up to 2048 bits RSA.
It can also specify and restrict local interface to access and configure the cisco routers - without allowing internet access for configuration.
But look like it still can be broken into and hijack.via Internet.

So even by hardening the routers and by lock down to local access - forbidding remote access - security can also be bypassed and still can be hijacked.
