Syria rebels risk collapse after Russia-backed regime gains

- Aleppo siege? -
"Aleppo is simply the first dramatic display of how the combination of Russian air power and advisers has been able to make up for the regime's relatively low capabilities and manpower shortage," said Faysal Itani, a senior fellow at the Atlantic Council's Rafik Hariri Centre for the Middle East.
"A good deal of both (rebels and civilians) will die from bombardment, starvation and the general deprivations of siege," said Itani.
"The fighters inside will be killed or forced to surrender," he added, predicting fresh waves of refugees.
The above strategy is meant to be used on ISIS daesh - and it will be effective in defeating ISIS daesh.
But it has been used by Syria troop and Russia on the rebels - and not on ISIS daesh.

Great that the coalition has scored a strategic victory against the ISIS daesh and capture the supply line chokepoint between Syria and Iraq - and cut off the supply line of ISIS daesh.
Great battle victory and meet the military objectives of :-
(1) Cut off supply line of recruits, logistics, food, water, ammo.
(2) Recapture the ISIS daesh territory

Air bombing complement with local coalition ground troops will be most effective in defeating ISIS daesh.

The original postings indicate that "cutting supply lines" is only to be used on ISIS daesh militants and not to be used on civilians and other factional groups.
Cutting supply lines will weakend the ISIS daesh to force unconditional surrender or to capture the ISIS daesh when they are weakend.
The postings did not suggest that "cutting supply lines and besieged" the ISIS daesh - is to force civilians to "eat grass" to survive.
Please see the objective of the original posting :-

Make no mistake, ISIS daesh must be completely defeated and pay for their crimes - for committing extreme atrocities.
International cooperation and determination is key to defeat ISIS daesh.
In addition to military pressure, cutting the supply lines of ISIS daesh - eg. finance, oil revenue, manpower, internet, communication, food, water, logistics, ammo, weapons, medicine etc ----- will be the fastest way to defeat ISIS daesh, force unconditional surrender and arrest them if possible and put them on international trial for war crimes and meted out punishment as per their crime.

If international forces can successfully cut off the supply lines of ISIS daesh - . finance, oil revenue, manpower, internet, communication, food, water, logistics, ammo, weapons, medicine etc - there will be very little collateral damages and casualties.
For eg. ISIS daesh has :-
(1) no food, no water - cannot survive for long - and will surrender.
(2) no ammo, no bullets, no bombs, no weapons - and will surrender.
(3) no cash, no oil revenue - to pay their militants, to buy weapons, ammo, food, water, logistics, medicine - how to fight?
No supply - the only way is to surrender.
Thus no casualties imposed on international troops, civilians will not be hurt by firefight and bombs - and the ISIS daesh can be arrested, let them face trial and let them discover their mistakes, repent and those who committed atrocities shall be punished according to the international law of war crimes.
Isn't this the smarter way, surgical way of defeating ISIS daesh?
no need to carpet bomb, nuclear bomb, deploy huge foreign army troops etc --- waste resource, damage infrastructure, kill civilians and innocents - and don't achieve result as well as surgical smarter way of defeating ISIS daesh.
This is a divine way to defeat ISIS daesh.

The irony is:-
(1) US coalition used the above strategy to defeat ISIS daesh in Ramadi.
(2) Russia coalition used the above strategy to defeat Syria opposition factional group in Aleppo.
The strategy very potent and effective - and must use for good cause ---- not to any how used hor.
