Yes this is a very wise analysis of the Syria situation.
Because military solution alone cannot resolve the Syria problem - the civil war will carry on endlessly and worst will attract bigger States involvement and drag everyone in - and all will suffer for it.
Russia wise stand will help Syria come to a peaceful political resolution.

Because Syria situation is no longer a Syria problem ---- it has cause tremendous impact worldwide.
(1) Mass Refugees flooding all neighboring Middle East countries
(2) Mass Refugees flooding Europe
(3) Hotbed of terrorism - that give rise to a most cruel cult - ISIS daesh terrorising the World
(4) Essentially - a Sunnis vs Shiites geopolitical and religious power struggle.
A military solution is not the solution - because it will prolong the fight and worst will escalate and inflame the situation further - as it may drag in State-to-State and even Blocs-to-Blocs fight. This will be of no interest to everyone and worst may trigger a mammoth regional war which will tremendously impact the Economies of all those involved - to finance the fight and damaging business interest.
