Why the Home Team did not
fire or at least give some warning shots? Believe the home team are NOT trained
to such real scenario & too STUNNED to anythings..... just looking at the
trucks being burned & destroyed! When are they going shoot ? The SOP? Wait
still some one die? There are home team being hurt & injured, still why no
shot fired? What the use of "armed police". They should hv at least
fired warning shots !!!
When you are overwhelm by
rioters - 400, if you pull out a firearm - you immediately become the prime
target.
Everyone just throw one stone
at you, or throw firebombs at you, you will kia.Riot Police are trained to handle such situation. Normal police response so far is appropriate - by waiting for reinforcement of the SOC and Gurkha contingent who are all Paramilitary to control riot is the right response.
Police are trained to arrest criminals, investigate crime - not to fight rioters who are overwhelmingly outnumbered by firing firearms - where many civilians are on the street, and will inflame the situation further - and when their lives are not immediately threatened.
Also a gun have 6 bullets - fire one warning shot - you have only 5 bullets - and you intend to fire how many warning shots to frighten the rioters? If you finish firing all 6 bullets, then 400 rioters set upon you, then how you defend yourselves and the police car, with bare hand like 叶问 - 我要打十个？But there are 400 out there.
Also bullets cannot defy gravity, once fire in the air, bullets will have to come down. What happen the falling bullets killed some innocent civilians? Then will you say, why fire warning shots and harm the innocent civilians?
