Good to find the source of SARs and MERs - which is from the bat.
It is also discover that MERs also come from camels.

So bats can fly all over the World.
Camels are only found in Middle East or probably in zoos.

So it make more sense to monitor and test the bats more closely as well as the camels - to ensure SARs and MERs like viruses will not cause harm to humans.
