Encouraging ePayment such as mWallet or online transaction eg. via NETs ePayment - will help in the digital economy.

But totally eliminating cash or cheque may not be fully practical.

To cite some experience,
(1) While attempting to make payment via mWallet, it works for some transactions but in one occasion, the scanning of the QR code fail despite multiple tries and the transactions cannot be completed.
Luckily i have enough cash to make payment.

(2) Also cite another example of making online transaction via NETs epayment, the link from the web page to the eNets payment fail multiple times and cannot be completed.
Got to make a trip down to pay by cheque to complete the transaction.

Thus fully cashless may not be practical - cash and cheques will still be required to be used as backup.

In the past 10 to 20 years, there are attempt to have a "paperless society" - with the proliferation of computers.

However, up to now, the World manage to achieve "Paper - less" not fully "paperless" --- as some form of hard documentation in paper form will still be required.
