Shouldn't US consider promoting trades with its trading partners and expand its economic pie - rather than adopting punishing moves that will cause retaliation or repeal from trading partners and reduce US economic pie?

Going forward, there will be lesser Countries wanting to do business with US to reduce their collateral risk - and do more business with Countries that are more welcoming to trade.
