A quarter of Christians do not believe in the resurrection

9 per cent of non-religious people believe in the resurrection? If they believe that then why don't they believe in God?
- ProgressiveWhat does religion have to do with Gods? Religion is real... Gods are not. Religions affects the lives of billions of human beings (for better or worse). Gods can't even provide us with evidence of their existence.
- ricky lLet put it this way, to explain what Christianity call Human vs Believe in God, let us use "Law of Relativity" or "Dualistic law" to explain the Concept.
(1) There are 2 sides of the coin (dualistic or law of relativity) - in all beings' existence.
The 1st side of the coin - We in human exist in this Physical Universe - this is proven as the way we live now. We are subjected to Birth, Live, Sickness/Decaying, Demise and Rebirth (Christiainity called it Reseurrection).
Reseurrection - means a Religious person is dead and after 3,000 years later come back alive in the same decay body.
Rebirth - means a persone is dead, but reborn in another body. This phenomenon more accurately describe the human being's rebirth.
Reseurrection - is more like a zombie or vampire - which is not so accurate.
The 2nd side of the coin - is known as Divinity (which I believe Jesus simplify if and called it "God" --- to make it easier for his disciples to understand).
In Law of Relativity or Dualisitic Principle :-
But Physical Universe - which we call mundane
And Divinity - which we call supramundane are far more profound and complex ---- that is not easy to understand.
Just a brief, Mundane - can be sub-categorise into Mundane for Human realm, Mundane for Animal realm,Paranormal for Hell realm, Paranormal for Hungry Ghost realm.
Supramundane - can be classified into 3 main categories :- Supramundane for Nirvana realms, Supramundane for Heavenly realms, sub-supramundane for Asura realm. - ricky lImagine Jesus meet many of his disciples - and try to explain :-
"Mundane" vs "Divinity" - to his disciples in such profoundity to them ---- his disciples will be very confused.
So maybe Jesus try to simplify it and break down very profound Universal concepts into 3 main realms known as :-
(1) Heaven - where God dwell
(2) Human - where humans and animal dwell
(3) Hell - where sinners dwell
This is not entirely wrong - if it meant to communicate and simplify profound concept to his disciples who will be awe and confused by very profound concept.
In Chinese the above 3 realms are known as 三界 (天, 人, 鬼)
And Divinity is known as 跳出三界 - 一真法界 - means jumping out of the 3 realms - will be the Divinity realm.
- ricky lDivinity (or Christian called it "God") cannot exist on its own - without Mundane (human beings and other beings in the Physical Universe).
This is the principles of "Dualistic Law" or "Law of Relativity".
No matter what is the state of the Universe - full-blown Universe or collapse black hole Universe ----- Divinity needs the mundane Universe ---- as part of the 2-sides of the coin.
Hence its is always in the Divinity Bodhi Vows - to liberate sentinent beings from Sufferings in the Physical Universe (which are subjected to Law of Impermanent, Law of Karma - of birth, live, decay, demise and rebirth) ---- where Divinity (has no birth, no death, Law of Permanent, Karma cease, in Eternal Blissfulness).
In consciousness term, Divinity will use Nirvana as Nimitta of Nama (Mental States) (Formless) - with Physical Universe as (Physical States) of Rupa (Form).
Heart Sutra --- depict the Profoundity of such dualistic states.
Is this too profound to be understood?
If yes, don't blame Jesus - who simplify everything and called the above Divinity state as "God".
- ricky lJesus did taught (God) - which means Divinity is OmniPresence, OmniBenevolence, OmniScience - and OmniPotent - and create the Physical Universe.
Divinity indeed are OmniPresence, OmniBenevolence and OmniScience which form the other side of the coin - where Universe form the 2nd side of the coin.
Divinity is Eternal, Permanent and not subject to change, and has no karma - no birth, no death, hence no sufferings.
Universe (including beings) is not Eternal (it will demise), is Impermanent - keep changing, has karma, has birth and death, has sufferings.
So did Divinity (or God) create Universe?
The answer is "partly yes", "partly no".
Divinity is the mental state, Universe is the physical state.
Divinity is not "One Supreme Being" --- it is a State of "One for All, All for One" - a very profound state - hence "OmniPotent - cannot be apply to One Supreme Being".
- ricky lDivinity has no beginning no end.
Universe has no beginning no end.
They are an endless loop ---- hence "creation of Universe" does not arise.
Eg in math formula :-
0, 0.000001 ...............0.99999 - 1 Universe
1, 1.000001 ............... 1.99999 - 2 Universe
.................... 99999999999999 - Infinite Universe and back to zero.
Hence endless loop ---- no beginning no end - for Divinity, for Universe.
The formation of say the 1st Universe - is actually a Universe in Black Hole (which is a Universe in demise).
- ricky lWhen there is a concept of beginning and end ---- it means "Law of Impermanent" - mundane - subject to birth, death and rebirth.
When there is no concept of beginning and end - it means "Law of Permanent" - beginningless, endless - no birth, no death - Eternal --- DIVINITY !!!
- ricky lPeople may asked :-
"If Divinity is beginningless, endless - under the Law of Relativity or dualistic priniciple - shouldn't Universe be - there should be a beginning and an end?"
Depends on whether you see it from a Mundane Human point of view or Divine point of view.
From Mundane Human point of view - there is a beginning and there is an end. Because when Universe collapse in a black hole - scientifically speaking the Universe has died. And when Universe explode from black hole into a new Universe, a Universe is "created".
From Divinity (Supramundane) point of view - the Universe collapse into a black hole - is still the same Universe except that celestial bodies of sun, planets, moons etc physcially transformed into black hole energies - into a different form.
Just like a tree branches is cut as sapling and a new tree from the sapling evolved - which essentially is the same tree.
Water from the cloud become rain and from reservoir, we drink, become urine, evaporate from the cloud is the same water.
Human every second, every minutes, every hour, every day - rightfully is a different person - because cell die, new cell evolve, hair drop off, new hair grow. Scientifically speaking, new person evolve every moment - but as long as we see the person did not die - it is still the same person.
So from Divinity point of view, Universe is beginningless and endless - because it transformed - but still conform to the "Law of Relativity or Dualistic priniciples" - because it do transformed through birth, living, decay, demise, rebirth.
So isn't Divinity extremely profound ?
Not easy to explain in detail and discrete form.
Thus Jesus simplify everything - God, Human, Hell - to suit the understanding of the disciples at that biblical time.
Divinity is much more profound, complex and complicated than it.
