Iraqi forces are using siege and stealth tactics to drive Islamic State militants out of Mosul's Old City, an Iraqi general said, and minimise harm to civilians trapped in the cramped historic neighbourhood.

This is a humane method of eradicating and defeating ISIS militants.
This will help to reduce civilians casualties, wear out the ISIS militants - where alot of patience, tolerance is needed by the Iraqi forces.
In the end, ISIS will be driven out, eradicated and defeated - because the civilians will compare the treatment of ISIS on them compare to Iraqi forces.
Mosul will be rulable - as compared to ISIS who impose harsh living conditions on the civilians.
To win the war, must win the heart and mind of the civilians.
Those who advocate carpet bombings, use chemical gas, use barrel bombs etc to inflict heavy civilian casualties will eventually have karma turned on them.
