Thought that in a democratic system where there is a deadlock in the Parliament, there should be a "system" that allow the Executive - in this case, the President to hold the edge of Power to break the deadlock - as the Executive is elected by the Citizens to make political decision - that will affect their lives.

Thus thought that US Constitution should be amended to factor in such "system" that will help to break the deadlock in Parliament.

In other words, the political system of Parliament - must not work itself into a corner where there are no way out.

An "escape valve" must be build in - to allow the elected Executive, in this instance, the President to make policies to run the Country - where logically, the election has conferred such "Authority" & "Responsibilities". Isn't it?

In other words, it is the Executive, the elected President's responsibilities to run the Country, not the Parliament (ie. the Congress).

The Parliament or Congress - is merely the House of Representatives that do a "check and balance" on those Policies coin by the Executive.

Where a deadlock in Parliament or Congress arises, an "escape valve" that will give weight on the elected Executive to break the impasse - should be prerogative. Shouldn't it be?

This will be important to whoever the current and future political parties - whether Democrat or Republicans.

Otherwise, US Executive will always be a lame-duck when running the Government - and this will not only be bad for US domestic politics but also its foreign policies.

In other words, in a deadlock situation, the elected Executive, the President has been conferred the "Authorities" and "Responsibilities" by the Electorate to plan, coin and implement the Policies either for domestic affairs or foreign affairs - as the Sovereign Rights of an Elected President.

Only then can a democratic system work - without causing a lockdown with a limbo Government - that will impede the functioning and credibility of the US Government. Isn't it?

This should apply to both the Democrat Government or Republican Government depending on which parties win the Presidency. Isn't it?
