Investing CPF savings in private pension plans an option for future: DPM Tharman

CPF members who want to take higher risks for higher return instead of falling back on the risk free return we are reaping now got to take heed from the earlier lesson we learnt from the allowing of CPF members to invest in shares and other investment instruments.

More than 50% of them either make losses by losing part or whole of their capital sum, lose part or whole of their return - much lesser than if we leave it to the CPF board to earn the interest on our behalf with risk free Government instruments.

People's memory (who got burnt) are very short. Must constantly remind them - the characterisitics of addicted gamblers.
