So indeed the 3 hotspots in the World - is like a traffic-light taking turn to change color from green to amber to red - and then back again.Reply
A few months ago, Ukraine crisis and Asia Pacific take centre stage - but both have move from red to amber where Asia Pacific look less amber and more green.
A few months ago, Middle East look more green amber - but now suddenly turn into red hot.
小三灾 (War, Epidemic, Climatic changes) are indeed very strange phenonmenon - that can run from place to place - East region to West region to Middle region.
(Of course not to forget the baby hotspot in Africa - that are often more isolated - as they are not connected in land with the rest of the World).

Hotspots are term as such - because it has :-
(1) the potential to turn into "regional catastrophe" or "worldwide catastrophe",
(2) that has the characteristics of "domino effect" - that will draw in other Countries, (3) that will impact Regional or World Economy,
(4) that will impede International Travel.
(5) that may end the World or even the Earth.

People may ask why Middle East will have such "hotspot effects" - that is comparable to Europe and Asia Pacific - where all the class of "SuperPowers" congregate - that have weapons of mass destruction, that the military strength and firepower can finish off the region.
Because Middle East - has the "religion effect" - that will ripple through and will cause an uncontrollable effects - if sanity is not kept intact.
Thus US play a very pivotal role to maintain her neutrality and ensure fairness, rationality, even-handed intervention to cool tension and prevent the spread of such effect.
A wrong move will accelerate the effect like the "initial runaway Mers" that even though does not seems contagious.
