Routing and hardware issues - not cyber attacks - reason government sites down: IDA

Exact scenario during 911. The incident repeat itself.
At that time, terrorists attack WTC in US.
This time, it is cyber terrorists attacking us.

The bgp for egress port and glbp for ingress port - in DC diversity will have prevented this.
 唉。

1 active link will be used to test the security intrusion and vulnerability testing.
Another active load-balance link will continue to serve the public.

So if a link is down due to misconfiguration or problem occur during testing, the 2nd load balance link can continue to serve the public.

This will be more superior than the "active-standby" design and configuration - with the concept of Primary link - active and the Secondary link - passive.

When the Primary link is brought down to do maintenance, traffic will have to swing to Secondary link - 1st disruption.

When the Primary link is bring up, traffic will have to swing back to the Primary link - 2nd disruption.

So the song goes "Swing here, swing there, anyhow swing swing, everywhere swing swing".

"Oh McDonald had a fun, ee ai ee ai yo.
Swing swing here, swing swing there.
Here swing, there swing,
Everywhere swing swing,
Anyhow swing swing".

在这样下去,没得救咯。(A loud explosion of thunder just exploded) - 天怒 !
