Thin client - that pull apps from the server in the cloud make sense - this concept is similar to VDI.

But unable to have client copy of the ChromeOS in the Chrome notebook - for private space is not a strong selling point.

Sometimes user like to browse their files offline - but ChromeOS that need to be always on to access the public cloud via Internet does not offer this option.

ChromeOS advocate VDI in the public cloud using public cloud browser.

Microsoft CloudOS advocate VDI in the corporate private cloud and uses Windows OS to access Internet using client browser for the public cloud and the private space for files to be kept in local clients.
