Just asking... what will u think if Cambodia launch a similar satellite into orbit.
Spending money in this? We should spend money when we can reap real returns. Else we might as well say we should research how to lived eternally?

A satellite is a communication medium just like your fiber for internet, media broadcasting, video streaming, smartphone call etc. The 3G/4G transmission network for your smartphone, iPad, internet.
The market for satellite is
extremely huge as remote areas, mountainous terrain that have no communication,
satellite service is a very cheap mean of offering communication to the people
who want to subscribe to the service.
Why do you think we are wasting money on satellite? It is a new
industry that will contribute to our Economic Growth.
The GPS that
provide you pinpoint location while driving or walking is through the
satellite.
That's why nobody asked
you for your opinion on this satellite project. Because you have no idea how to
value a research work.
