    (1) China need not be held hostage by Trump-led US - who are constantly antagonizing China in many ways.

    (2) China can diversify its food source to S America - and secure its food supply.

    (3) This will serve as a rebuke to Trump-led US - who insist on launching a trade war against the World by using tariff.

    (4) This rebuke is sending a signal to Trump-led US - that trade war, protectionism don't pay.

China must not sign any trade deal at this time, and very likely won’t. The americauns have been provoking them over so many issues.
The farmers can thank their elected president for their fortunes or lack thereof.

If a trade deal is done b4 the US Election, China is liken to putting hammer into it's own head! A trade deal will make Trump looks good, and have a big chance of winning the next election, that will be another 4 yrs of potential trouble for China!

It would be to China's best interest to focus more on South America for their agricultural needs than on that once-great US of A who has become untrustworthy, unethical, & a big frking bully.
