"He said he would seek to defend himself through legal representation in Singapore but would not be returning to the country.
"I have no intention of going back to Singapore. I have a happy life and a fulfilling job in the US," he told Reuters in an interview."

Now Li Sheng Wu has truly ruin his own future in Singapore.

The system that has feed him and groom him in Singapore - has all gone down to waste - and he has not contribute anything meaningful to Singapore - except consistent attack on Singapore and its system.

His Grandfather must be deeply in grief that his unfilial grandson has done damage to Singapore in which he so painfully build.

He is real foolhardy - with high education but does not possess a fraction of wisdom as that of his Grandfather.

He has no guts to face his own self. Did he dare to challenge his grand father of what he did. Anyway he is a coward. He already intend to guit Singapore, just using this lame excuse to exit. AGC fall for his trick. By the wsy what contribution he has for Singapore, shame to say LSW

"I have no intention of going back to Singapore. I have a happy life and a fulfilling job in the U.S.," he told Reuters in an interview. Stay happy where you are but please learn to respect our nation's sovereignty, and the admiration and love many Singaporeans have for their leaders and the judicial system in place. It has been the PAP government for the last 58 years, and there has not been instability, chaos or rampant corruption. If you feel you can steer Singapore to develop a much stronger judiciary, please do come back and make your views public. Armchair critics, taking refuge in a foreign country, are practicaly useless. Perhaps you ought to look into the Trump's administration and make your views known to them about whether America is going the right direction, under his administration, or sinking into quick-sand. There's so much material over there and it can keep you occupied, for a long time.

Li said then, “The Singapore government is very litigious and has a pliant court system. This constrains what the international media can usually report.” Unquote. Li’s statement is a clear as daylight – he implies Singapore has kangaroo court. Anyone with basic understanding of English cannot mistook what it meant. Now he behaves like a snake tries to slither out when he faces a lawsuit.
1. He defended his action by saying that he pasted his comments only among friends. If this defence is acceptable, what stop every Tom, Dick and Harry from doing it and get someone leak out. In this way, no one can sue anyone when their reputation is harmed.
2. If he is really does not meant what he stated, he should have apologised when given an opportunity by the AG, he did not. This showed he meant every word in the FB.
3. He should know that his grandfather, Lee Kuan Yew fought tooth and nail when others trampled on Singapore’s Judiciary system. Is he trying to dismember it?
4. As grandson of Lee Kuan Yew, we would have expected a better performance from him but he did not. He did not apologise if he accepted what he said is a mistake; he did not fight this case if he thinks he is right to “expose” that the Singapore court system is pliant and can prove that judges wait for the executives to give them instructions. No, he did none of the above but turn his tail between his legs when face with a lawsuit! Mr Lee Kuan Yew will never done that as we know from all his actions in the past!
5. 做个男子汉大丈夫,敢作敢當, 才是英雄好漢. 不要像一只缩头乌龟, 丢您的爷爷的脸

I hope LSW can reflect on his Grandpa's greatest hardship and distress in building this country (pulling everyone together, risked his life for death) and those that willy-nilly wants to tear it down after a few totally uncalled for disagreements. The directions you're in young man is destructive. Away from what your Grandpa has set it out to be. Don't contribute INSTABILITY here and elsewhere. The country you're in is listed at one time to be one of the most dangerous countries in the world who practised 100% democracy. Bear that in mind. Be thoughtful of others. Don't be a self-centered person. I hope one day you'll truly experienced what a "REAL WORLD" is all about and see if you have time for all these petty nonsense. One day.

I don't understand all this fuss, yours grandfather laid the ground of what Singapore is today. If you so unhappy complaint to grand papa when he is alive or join a politic to made change or voice out your opinion. But I believed you will not do it, as dad will suffer as your grand papa will write him off from the will. Now he is gone and everything is finalised, go and blow your trumpet .

Just glanced through LSW's letter to the Attorney General to exculpate himself From the contempt of court charges. Sad story to know that these white horses did not know their limit when given the whole pap machinery to get where they r now. It's like the Chinese saying 狗咬吕洞宾。LSW was biting the hands that fed him or for that matter all white horses of Singapore. The excuses r laughable by a PHD student, n more so tarnishing the names of elite universities like Stanford n Harvard by outsiders like us s to how they award their PHDs n fellowships ? Is it just because this LSW was the grand son of LKY or nephew of the Singapore PM LHL ? What kind of English standard when he described "pliant" court s non defamatory ? Did he know "easily bent" means ? In fact the word " compliant" may cause less damage s it can denote a court system complying to rules n procedures n not beholden to the government.
Thank god we now do not give a shit about your PHDs. We now look at the substance. The way u speak, present yourself, your papers, your lectures etc.
I wonder if he could b extradited back to Singapore to serve jail sentence coz from cursory view, I would think that he would b convicted.
It also sent a message to all that LHL had had enough. Actually LHL can "direct" AG to drop the charges if any on LSW. To save face for the courts, insinuations of any by LSW could b overlooked by LHL s being emotionally over reacting when his parents was brought to the public for being spoilt brats to challenge his brother LHL in his private capacity s well s the PM's office. If LSW was not a white horse, the word "pliant“ on the Singapore court system is clearly very damaging. There may b truth in it. But how can u fight against such truth in Singapore Courts ? Well all these laughing stock saga arose from the other white horses LHY ( his father) n LWL, who shot down the PM's office n was let go s their defamatory remarks were more serious against the Singapore government, the PM's office n LHL n his wife or even his son. Good lessons for all though I m deadly against LKY for his ruthless torture if any n the imprisonment of so many political detainees, though we try to understand that without such imprisonment, too much democracy may disrupt the big picture of starving off competition around the region or the world for Singapore to progress exponentially

He very well knows that once posted on FB; be it private or not, it will, one way or another, find its way to become public posting. By posting on FB and share among his peers, he had already intended to share and spread such comments about the judiciary with his peers, thereby allowing it to be further shared and spreaded to others who are not his "Friends". How irresponsible of him to make such claim?

Does it mean that one can just post subversive and radicalizing articles on FB, set it as private and share among his/her close peers, thereby claiming innocence and blaming others who make screeen shot copy of such articles in spreading such radical ideology? Isn't this ridiculous?

As a PHD holder, didn't he realize he is "Ideologue 0", "his peers who believe in him and share it with others are "Ideologue 1" and the anonymous who posted publicly the screen shot of his post are "Ideologue 2 + and so on"?
