    (1) There is no need for a 3rd bridge to alleviate the causeway congestion if :-
    a. JB optimise their immigration counters by opening more booth and keep them properly staff.

    b. Approve the RTS link to ensure more passengers can be transported.

    (2) This will save alot of money to build a 3rd bridge and then fail to optimise the immigration booth.

From bn rule task force was formed
Than ph form another tusk force
    Muhiddin visit
    Mahathir visit
So much of empty talk and promises to improve but nothing much happen
    Why
Counter staff poor and not efficient attitude
Not all counters are manned during peak hours
Senior immigration officers not on the ground to monitor and improve the situation
No proper cycle time to be met to check and stamp passport the counter staff too slow to flip passport pages
Both countries rather than passport should come out with a scan card for regular travellers

It's more about work attitudes and efficiency that needs to be addressed and improved.

The sultan is very logical and practical, unlike prataman (Mamathir) who only thinks of his 3rd bridge. The issue is within the existing to be corrected and not a 3rd bridge as a solution.

The entire design of the CIQ lies in the way the complex is designed..it is NOT designed to handle mass numbers of vehicles. Anyone could have told you this from the very beginning when we first started using it. Very little thought was given to how to design a complex that could cater for an increasing number of vehicles and motorbikes....if anything, it was so badly designed, the only intent was to fustrate and to create long waits and jams. Not to improve the economy.

The current number of booths are adequate. Just that not all booths are opened. They all operate at 50% capacity. If only the Sultan could make sure that all booths are opened and staffed them with enough officers then things can move smoothly. Many of these officers are so slack and work at half steam. They spent their time talking to their colleagues and looking at their mobile phones.Perhaps because they feel that they are so poorly paid why work so hard. Chop and talk get paid Don't chop so much also get paid so why work so fast.

All passport counters are not open, even during non peak hour jams can stretch 1.5 hours to 2 hours. No point creating another bridge, all this MP are blind and sitting at the office like lame ducks. What's happening at ground, nobody cares. A dying man don't understand the problems, walk the talk after this nothing happens. Talk don't solves the problems, taking active action will solves all the problems.

At least the Sultan can identify some issue and try to get it resolved.

That is the problem with oppies as Govt. Just cannot make it. Failed.
