    (1) Too many migrant workers will crowd out Singaporean in jobs.

    (2) Migrant workers should play the role of supplementing Singaporeans in those jobs that are not fill up by Singaporeans.

    (3) Singaporeans should be given priority in jobs - and only for those jobs that cannot be filled up by Singaporeans should be filled up by migrant workers.

    allow too many foreigners into SG, then demand for goods, housing, transport, etc has gone up as well, so price automatically increases affect normal singaporean and if anyone above 45 is out of job and have a housing or children education commitments, then good luck to you
    then if too many foreigners cannot make it here, they commit crime, get sentence, go jail and they still used our taxpayers $$ for years

    Singapore and the Malaysian government have earned huge sums of money because of the levy fees .but it also directly results in local citizens who have to compete with foreigners for ** some job and both government must sacrifice the jobs of average local workers to exchange for million $ / RM levy fees every month. Note each work permit issue will return from $ 350 - up to 750 monthly .
    Japan bringing in foreign workers is accordance with demand to solve the shortage of local workers ;the work of foreign workers does not affect the jobs of Japanese citizens and the " silly " Japanese government will not use levy fee to make money So they censor foreign workers very strictly and don't issue work permits casually like our MOM .

    To Everyone in this Website, Especially PAP, Opposition Parties & All Singaporean,

    Singapore Government don’t seem to go in-depth to CHECK the “ QUALITIES “ of Job Vacancies & Jobs still held by Singaporean employees in Singapore Private Sector, which this website mentions of migrant workers in Singapore & the thinking of Singaporean on them that includes its big effect on Job Employment of Singaporean , so need to bring out this issue to discuss on .

    Actual UNEMPLOYMENT RATE of Singaporean can be much HIGHER than announced publicly by Ministry of Manpower (MOM) .

    Many dishonest Employers FALSIFY the Labour Quotas, Employee’s Salary Details & Labour Records to CHEAT MOM & even, CHEAT Income Tax Rebates for employing Singaporean, from Income Tax Authority (IRAS) & other Financial Supports from relevant authorities, which works like FALSIFICATION of Maintenance & Repair Records by SMRT staff in the past incident on Flooding of Bishan MRT Station :=>

    * * EXAMPLE 1 : A former Project Manager , with Civil Engineering Degree Certificate from university that is recognized by MOM, told me that after he was sacked from a building contractor after working for about 1 month in rather suspicious condition , the client & even relevant authority had CONTACT him to CHECK on the Work Progress & Status of this building project in nearly 1 year after he had left this job because he was still the REGISTERED Project Manager in this building project with them !

    Years later , this former Project Manager learn that the boss of this ex-employer had got his own relative to TAKE OVER his project manager job shortly after he was sacked , BUT, this boss’s relative was known to have no recognized PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATE, which is Civil Engineering Degree Certificate from university recognized by relevant authorities, for the job at all & his ex-employer still keep this former project manager’s name as the registered project manager with relevant authorities, like BCA & MOM ! ! !

    * * EXAMPLE 2 : Years back, a subcontractor told me that in a HDB building project that he had involved, in slightly over 1 year, the building contractor of this HDB building project had SACKED 2 project managers & 4 engineers from this HDB building project without even informing HDB & MOM of it !

    This building contractor got “ CHEAP “ Professionals, like Foremen , Supervisors , “ UPGRADED “ Bangladeshi workers that were known to pay less than $1000/ month in salaries, to do the jobs of Engineers & even, Project Managers & according to this subcontractor, these were COMMON PRACTICES in Construction Industry & many key industries then, since Nobody CHECK it at all ! ! !

    * * EXAMPLE 3 : Years ago, a former Civil Engineer told me that a known subcontractor that was working with his ex-employer, which is a main building contractor, had told him that this ex-employer even USE his photocopied Civil Engineering Degree Certificate from recognized university by relevant authorities , to APPLY for new buildings projects & UNDERTAKE new building project by REGISTER him as the Civil Engineer of these construction project with the clients & relevant authorities, in nearly 2 years after he had LEFT this ex-employer !

    This former Civil Engineer even learn that this ex-employer’s key staff “ GIVE / SELL“ his photocopied Civil Engineering Degree Certificate to other companies, both in local & oversea, to do the same FALSIFICATION , which even involved CHANGE his NAME in his photocopied Civil Engineering Degree Certificate with Another Person’s Name & make into FAKE EDUCATIONAL CERTIFICATES . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . , which he also learn that these were COMMON PRACTICES in Construction Industry & other key Industries then ! ! !

    [ * * NOTE :==>> This is how a DISHONEST company can use “ PHONY “ Labour Records to CHEAT relevant authorities, which work like the present US President, Donald Trump, had mention in public that the official Unemployment Rate in USA was “ PHONY ” , when Barrack Obama was still US President :

    A DSHONEST company can report to relevant authorities that it has employed 100 qualified Singaporean PMETs, BUT, don’t be surprise that when MOM officers go to this company to CHECK , they can only find 35 qualified Singaporean PMETs are working as actual salaried employees in this company , while the other reported 65 qualified Singaporean PMETs are actually “ VIRTUAL “ Singaporean employees that only exist in Official Records being submitted to relevant authorities, like MOM & IRAS, & are Not the paid employees of this company at all !

    Also, don’t be shock that employees that replace such “ VIRTUAL “ Singaporean PMETs , which include the so called “ FOREIGN TALENTS “ too , many of them DON’T have RELEVANT Educational Certificates or, even use FAKE EDUCATIONAL CERTIFICATES to work in the company ]

    Rem the riots in little india that cause by foreigners. Now we have curfew on drinking timing because of them. Also other incidents that govt impose lot of restriction.

    End of the day the overall cost is very high be it to the employers or the society at large. The best person is sitting there collecting levies. I hope employers do their sum well.

    If 6 out of 10 are ft, of course crime rate should increase proportionately.
