(1) Japan should not pull out of RCEP because India pull out of RCEP.

(2) Japan should ratified RCEP together with the rest - and then coax India to join RCEP in Phase 2.

(3) The need for Japan to join RCEP in the mammoth trade pact is necessary to cushion against the negative impact of Trump-led US trade war - that affect the Global Economy.

(4) Certainly, Japan will not want to be left behind in the regional trade deal - in which Japan will also benefit by joining RCEP.

(1) RCEP comprise a total Gross Domestic Product (GDP, PPP) of $49.5 trillion, about half of the world population and 39 percent of the world's GDP.

(2) Compare that to US GDP of US$19 trillion - RCEP will grossly compensate for the impact brought on by Trump-led US trade war.
