If there are many unusual unsuccessful login attempts - they are usually log in a security logs.

If there are :-
(1) Daily manual checking of security logs - IT security personnel will have detected this anomaly.
(2) If central logger is used with SIEMs - this unusual anomaly will usually be flagged out as suspected unauthorised log-in attempts.

Also of course if 2FA are used via SingPass and NAF using :-
(1) SMS OTP
(2) Secure token passcode

then breaching through via userid and password - will normally not succeed.
