This report and Channel 8 News report that :-
(1) WP already intending not to use AIM software (and thus is upgrading FMSS software) for Aljunied GRC.
(2) Up to now before this report and the news --- WP convey that AIM withdraw its software - thus WP have to run the Aljunied GRC without a software and have to scramble with upgrading of the FMSS software is not true.

WP has presented in :-
(1) Parliament
(2) Court during defense lawyer examination of KPMG and PWC
- that WP have to work without accounting software as AIM is withdrawing - is not true.
WP intend not to continue the use of AIM (without checking the term of AIMS contract) but instead upgrading FMSS software to replace it.
This is the same effect as WP intend to use FMSS through waiver of tender (not intending to continue with CPG without checking the terms of its contract).
But WP say in:-

(3) in Court during examination on both auditors that :-
it is AIM and CPG intend to withdraw first ---- which in fact WP intend not to use AIM and CPG first - by intending to use FMSS and FMSS software.
This is what the lawyer Mr Singh --- trying to convey in the Court and in the Public - of these misconceptions or "fake news" that have been circulating up to today by WP.
This why the lawyer Mr Singh say :-
(1) Mr Low - lie in Court
(2) Ms Sylvia Lim - lie in Court.

Before this news,
(1) I have the impression that AIMs software pull out first - but it turn out that WP intend to pull AIMs out - and put FMSS software into it first.
(2) I have the impression that CPG want to pull out first - but it turn out that WP intend to pull CPG out - and put FMSS into it first.
Why I have this impression - because it is publish in the news all over the place as claim by WP and WP defense lawyers - for many years up to today --- I realise is the reverse.
Now this is more than the "competency and inexperienced" issue.
It is also the "integrity" issue.

Ricky Lim, for all your brilliance and in-depth knowledge of everything under the sky coupled with a great heart for the well being of Singaporeans, I can't help but think that you are also deeply programmed by the ruling party. As such you have lost your fairness as an observer in such politicking.
This case is very political (hope you agree) and this Singh is a lawyer (was with the ruling party once) who will just accuse the defendants as liars and giving false impressions, etc to make them look bad (that's his job). The reality is that the defendants are politicians and politicians sees things differently and interpret things differently. Just like the ruling party who can say Indian is also Malay, 4 times is also 5 times, demolish is also preserve, etc.
So it is no surprise that the defendants as politicians think and anticipate things ahead before it happens and what the opposition (the ruling party) might do to disadvantage them in running the AHTC. I think you should know about such "contingency planning / strategy" by any politician(s) with your brilliance, no? So pls don't read too much into the news as they are known to have a certain level of biasness.
Pls don't forget the ruling party has lost Aljunied GRC twice (quite shameful yah?) and I think they will do anything to get it back. They are politicians don't forget and in politics anything is possible even if it is meaningless to the public. You said you agree 95% with the ruling party but I think is closer to 100% or at least 99.9%. :)

Our opinions and judgements are guided by any undisputable facts and evidence presented.
The facts presented to the Public are that :-
(1) $33 million are overpaid - as reported by 2 independent auditors.
(2) Evidence of breach of procurement process guided by Govt IM, Conflict of Interest - as per Town Council Act and Fiduciary Duties are presented in Court.
--- both point to "faulty governance and management".
(3) Now the Lawyer Singh produce evidence that "suggest integrity is in question" as follows :-
"AIM gave its notice of termination on June 22, 2011, the High Court heard on Thursday. However, preparations for the upscaling of Hougang Town Council’s existing software to suit the larger constituencies of Aljunied and Hougang combined started well before, he said.
Addressing Ms Lim, Mr Singh said: "You see the words 'due to'? Ms Lim. In your defence you gave the impression that it was because AIM had terminated that AHTC had to upscale its computer system.
"In Parliament, you gave that very same impression. To your own town council members, both in the report and what was discussed, you continued to give that impression as well.
“In all the instances I have shown you, you led the town councillors, the court, Parliament, and the public, to believe that it was because AIM had terminated that AHTC had no choice but to upscale."
Likewise for not appointment of CPG, integrity issue was also raised :-
"He then asked Mr Low if the appointment of a secretary and deputy secretary of a town council was a very important appointment, to which Mr Low again agreed.
"You would not appoint someone a secretary unless you considered him to be good, reliable and trustworthy?" Mr Singh asked.
"Yes," Mr Low replied.
"Likewise for deputy secretaries?"
"Yes."
Mr Singh then referred to minutes that showed that the town council approved the appointment of Jeffrey Chua as secretary and Seng Joo How as deputy secretary."

If the below scenarios arise, I will have respected the WP :-
(1) Run the Aljunied GRC well - with no overpayment of $33 million.
(2) Did not portray PAP of using "dirty tactics" of :-
- pulling out AIMS software
- pulling out CPG MA
(which as now stand as evidences presented - PAP did not appear to use "dirty tactics" - which look like WP hyping it up).
(3) Follow all proper procedures in engaging MA, software and award contractor service.
In short, I will respect anyone or any Party who have :-
(1) Integrity
(2) Competency
(3) Selfless - truly serving the Public
(1) Run the Aljunied GRC well - with no overpayment of $33 million.

(1) Sylvia Lim has admitted to Lawyer Singh that she and Mr Low - on the outset has no wish to continue with AIMs and CPG --- and in fact will be using FMSS and FMSS software right from the start.
For this :- I respect Sylvia Lim's honesty.
This means that as per year 2011 - 2018 continuous portrayal of PAP using "dirty tactics" to :-
- pull out AIMs software so that WP cannot run the GRC
- pull out CPG MA so that WP cannot run the GRC
is no longer true - as per admission of Sylvia Lim in Court today.
