U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley said on Sunday the U.N. Security Council has run out of options on containing North Korea's nuclear programme and the United States may have to turn the matter over to the Pentagon.

Nonsense,
the US and allies can undertake to stop their military exercises in the
Korean Peninsula and N Korea stop her nuclear weapon development. Why
the US reject such a simple solution? Everyone knows the allies have
overwhelming military force vs the DPRK in nuclear or conventional
weaponry.

Any
experts in sg has any viable solutions to offer to trump ? many a
times< I saw and read experts here, experts there and experts
everywhere saying something. But totally quiet now. Very strange.

Well,
(1) ask China and Russia to arrange a round table talk between China, Russia with N Korea first.
- If this can be done, then it is possible to go to the next step.
- If even this cannot be done, between N Korea former 2 Allies, China and Russia - then wonder how to go to the next step of dialogue?

If
N Korea refuse even to hold dialogue with China and Russia - with the
objective to defuse the "nuclear crisis" ---- it means the "door to
dialogue for denuclearisation" is shut.
It take "both hands to clap".
If only one side is keen for dialogue, but the other side is not even considering - but single-mindedly want nuclear ---- then 2 hands are not coming together.
This will spell trouble - because when dialogue is not happening --- then 2 things will happen :-
(1) One side will use sanction to force dialogue.
(2) The other side will respond with more missile tests and nuclear tests
---- and this will eventually lead to the war ---- which is reflecting the current situation now.

However,
if N Korea positively respond to China and Russia invitation for a
round table talk --- then it means, opportunity is open up for next
round of dialogue to resolve the nuclear crisis.
(1) China and Russia can take note of N Korea point of views - and convey this to US, S Korea and Japan.
(2) US, S Korea and Japan then can study the point of views for review and consideration --- and this will open up the opportunity - to organise a 2nd round of dialogue - which can be co-chaired by China and Russia with N Korea.
--- Without the 1st round of dialogue between N Korea - China and Russia ---- it is hard to visualise that there will be a breakthrough through dialogue.
--- When this happen, sanctions on one side vis-a-vis missile tests and nuclear test --- will be scenario ---- and this will eventually lead to a "full blown brawl".
