The attack on the boy is vicious.
And the gangsters are out to do serious damage and injuries on the boy.
The video is too disturbing to watch.
The gangsters must be given the maximum sentence allowable by the law - to ensure deterrence that our children are not victimised by such thuggish behavior.

Anti-gangsterism unit should visit schools to give talks, videos - on how gangsterism are not tolerated and how they are dealt with - in prison, boys home, caning etc --- to ensure that they will not go into the wrong sides of the law.
Understand by talking to many school children that bullying in schools are very common.
There must be some step up to warn children to behave appropriately in schools, in public and in society - that bullying, violence and fighting will not be tolerated in Singapore.

Caning for such vicious bullying, gangsterism, rioting, gangfight, group beating of the weak should be make compulsory - so that the permanent scar will be a reminder for such hooligans that the Society will not tolerate such vicious behavior.
The permanent scar will also be a reminder to their parents - to ensure they are responsible for good upbringing of their children - & the consequences of gangsterism.
Their unacceptable behavior has cause psychological and physical harm to those they had hurt.

I think Police should make use of the opportunity to uproot the gangs involved in the boys.
Investigation should not be focused on the 2 boys that physically assault the victims, but also those who stand around who do nothing - but are part of the gang.
Investigation should also be carried out on whether the victim is also part of another gang.
All the gangs should be uprooted, register with the anti-gangsterism unit, put under tracking and surveillance to ensure their activities are legal - and arrest should be make if these gangs carried out illegal activities or go around terrorising the Society.
The parents and schools of these gang members should also be informed - so that these gang members should be monitored closely to ensure they do not engage in gang activities outside schools.

The netizens did a good job identifying the gang members that attack the victims :-
“Lee Xue Zhong, wearing 33 jersey.
Adam Alfie, the one who jumped on him
Ernest Ang, the one at the start wearing the white shirt who didnt do anything.
All from Saint Andrews Secondary School.”
But netizens should continue to identify the rest of the gang members who stand around and do nothing.
If possible, netizens should also identify which gang group the victim belong to and dig out their identities of these gang members.
This is the best opportunity to uproot gang groups in Singapore - that is posing a menace to our Society - to ensure these gang members leave gangsterism and not venture into a wrong path.

Wonder if the anti-gangsterism unit has a portal for people who have knowledge of other gangsters that are festering in schools and societies to post information and identities of gangsters and gangsterism.
This will facilitate people or netizens who have knowledge or information of children, youth or adults forming gangs that terrorise our Society.
This will be effective in helping the Police and Society to root out gangsterism in Singapore and make Singapore a safe place to live.

Information can be as simple as :-
(1) The identity of gang members such as name, ic no. etc.
(2) The places they operate like HDB flats, entertainment spots like pubs etc.
(3) The illegal activities they undertake like fighting, rioting, bullying, taking drugs, gang initiation etc
(4) Their address, school, workplace etc.
(5) Photo or videos of those gang members to be uploaded.
All the above information will be useful and effective in curbing, eradicating and preventing gang activities, formation of gang or growth of gangsterism.
