[12:17 PM, 5/23/2020] : 📢 Topic 📢
While most circuit breaker measures for seniors in Phase 1 continue to keep them safe, what can we do to persuade our seniors to adhere to the safety measures post Circuit Breaker?
There will be more facilities and activities for seniors from June 2 to cater to their psychosocial well-being after the circuit breaker ends, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said yesterday.
However, many precautionary measures will remain for this group in the initial stage of Singapore's reopening, as seniors are especially vulnerable to the coronavirus.
The Ministry said: “In phase one, with more activities and interactions, there will likely be a higher risk of community transmission. Therefore, seniors should continue to stay at home as much as possible. We will continue with most circuit breaker measures for seniors in phase one to ensure that they stay safe.”
To complement precautionary measures, surveillance testing would be conducted to detect cases in the eldercare sector early to limit further transmission. Tests for all staff of residential care homes earlier and testing of all residents is underway. Staff of non-residential care services, namely designated eldercare centres and day hospices, kidney dialysis centres, and home care providers will also be tested.

[1:58 PM, 5/23/2020] : Hi guys don't panic when you see this, they added a clause about politics
It's a hint that GE is round the corner
Have a great weekend ahead!

iv.
can reasonably be regarded as intended (a) to promote or procure the electoral success at any election for one or more identifiable political parties, candidates or groups of candidates; or (b) to otherwise enhance the standing of any such political parties, candidates or groups of candidates with the electorate in connection with any election. This would include content which prejudices the electoral prospects at the election of other political parties, candidates or groups of candidates or (as the case may be) prejudices the standing with the electorate of other political parties, candidates or groups of candidates.
[2:20 PM, 5/23/2020] : So basically don't get too political in a government feedback group hah

XaniceAfcai
[2:37 PM, 5/23/2020] : Thanks for sharing.

[2:59 PM, 5/23/2020] ☸️  Danny 心:
Thanks for highlighting the new clauses.

[3:14 PM, 5/23/2020] ☸️  Danny 心:
6 SC PR.
Still have local transmission lurking around.

[3:17 PM, 5/23/2020] ☸️  Danny 心:
Feel sad that are still local transmission lurking around and we are opening up soon.

Nicholas Lee
[3:19 PM, 5/23/2020] : That's the concern
[3:20 PM, 5/23/2020] : There might be actually undetected lingering cases
[3:20 PM, 5/23/2020] : Like the pre school teachers, they were tested positive during the mass testing

[3:23 PM, 5/23/2020] ☸️  Danny 心:
Sigh.
I think a few lurking around will still go on and on until the vaccines come out.
We may have to force to live with it and around it and cannot lower our guard as we open our economy.
And we may have to deal with any new cluster that comes up here and there - confine it and contain it - while we work in the economy.

Nicholas Lee
[3:24 PM, 5/23/2020] : 🤞🏻 trust the government in overcoming this crisis . To be honest , no one knows the perfect answer to balance everything. We just have to do our part at our best ability

[3:29 PM, 5/23/2020] ☸️  Danny 心:
We may have to deal with it like dealing with dengue fever.
Contain the cluster as we live with it and work around it while dealing with the cluster.

Caleb
[3:29 PM, 5/23/2020] : So far is there any indication on how many people who where tested positive but were asymptomatic?

Ken
[3:30 PM, 5/23/2020] : Not always have the answer, this engagement is all about.
To see our views on issues.
High level and general public might be different
[3:31 PM, 5/23/2020] : Ultimately whatever they push need support from us, not everything they push will he will liked
[3:31 PM, 5/23/2020] : Be well liked”

Ben
[3:39 PM, 5/23/2020] : Rather than focusing on the total number of cases, we should highlight active cases. SG has one of the top recovery rates in the world. Due to preemptive testing we have high number of cases but very few deaths and very few in ICU.

Ken
[3:40 PM, 5/23/2020] : Percentage is low, as the major infected lots are younger and healthier workers...
the ones dying are all older. In terms of statistical. Not sure anyone did the maths?

REACH
[3:42 PM, 5/23/2020] : [Sent by Gov.sg – 23 May]
As of 12pm, MOH has preliminarily confirmed an additional 642 cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore.
Majority are Work Permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.
Of the 642 cases, 6 are Singaporeans/PRs.
MOH will share further updates in its press release that will be issued later tonight.

Ben
[3:43 PM, 5/23/2020] : Anyone know how many migrant workers have been tested, and when they expect to have completed testing for all migrant workers?

SuperHero
[3:47 PM, 5/23/2020] : Curious to find out too

Ken
[3:47 PM, 5/23/2020] : 8 to 14k a day.. 245k workers.. not including retesting do the maths 😅

4 days ago news is about 8k a day

Ben
[4:25 PM, 5/23/2020] : Ok thanks, so assume 6k a day for MW = 50 days for 300k MW

Ben
[4:26 PM, 5/23/2020] : And we are seeing 600 cases, which is about 10% positive, correct?

[6:39 PM, 5/23/2020] ☸️  Danny 心:
Human trials using vaccines in phase one in China got good news.
All human on trial develop covid-19 antibodies.
CNA news announce.

Ken
[6:42 PM, 5/23/2020] : It is too early...

Might want to read this one of my friend wrote this. In layman why vaccines might take longer, and how long it takes to public to get it

[6:45 PM, 5/23/2020] ☸️  Danny 心:
Agree it's still too early to rejoice.
But still a good baby step in the right direction.
This is the 1st vaccine human trial that have shown such result.

Ken
[6:48 PM, 5/23/2020] : Showing results till manufacture to the mass... really takes very long 😣

[6:50 PM, 5/23/2020] ☸️  Danny 心:
Sigh we got to wait.
But at least we can still see a tiny light.
Not sure whether this light will go off (ie effective or not).
But at least we know there is hope.

Ken
[6:51 PM, 5/23/2020] : It might be like H1N1 by the time the vaccine is out, the virus won’t be so deadly after that.

[6:51 PM, 5/23/2020] ☸️  Danny 心:
Oops not CNA it's channel 8 news.

[6:53 PM, 5/23/2020] ☸️  Danny 心:
H1n1 is less deadly.
Covid-19 is more deadly.
If it dies off good for humanity, if not at least we have a vaccine.

Ben
[7:12 PM, 5/23/2020] : Yes, good outcome either way!
