[11:19 am, 16/05/2020] : 18 COVID-19 positive patients discharged from D'Resort after determined to be no longer infective to others: MOH
Eighteen COVID-19 positive patients who had stayed at community care facility D'Resort for between 38-51 days have been discharged after it was determined that they were no longer infectious to others.
"The Committee deliberated on each of these cases individually, and determined that the patients are shedding dead viral components, detectable through the PCR test, but which are no longer transmissible and infective to others," said MOH. "After careful consideration, the Ministry of Health decided that these individuals can be cleared for discharge."
As an added precautionary measure, these patients are required to be home quarantined for a further seven days, said MOH.

[12:00 pm, 16/05/2020] : 📢 Topic 📢
What do you think are the safe distancing measures we should continue to have in place as the economy gradually reopens, as more people return to work and when more activities are allowed to resume?
While community cases have been coming down in recent days, Singapore needs to reopen carefully and slowly or chance a large spike in new cases, Health Minister Gan Kim Yong said yesterday at a virtual press conference by the multi-ministry task force on Covid-19.
To help curtail the rise, contact tracing and quarantine efforts will be stepped up to minimise the risk of large clusters forming.
We must remain vigilant, and not to let our guard down simply because the circuit breaker period officially ends on 1 June.

My close friend contribution:-
We need to continually educate or remind ourselves how easily the virus can spread.
Japan has conducted an experiment to illustrate this https://youtu.be/OOvENoZMmK4
Consider once we open up and relax measures, a buffet setting can spread to almost everyone in the room.
While we all wear our masks, Chris can also spread to those within 1.5m.
So let's all take note, the war is not over yet.

Chris --- should be "Virus".

Dining out is a big risk as it will bring about cross infection.

The video experiment in a buffet show that one person infected, the whole restaurant diners got infected by the plate he touches.

Also true enough, face masks is off when people dine, and this will further make the situation worst.

Face masks is an important tool to slow the spread even the cloth masks is good enough.

Seoul night club flare up is a good example of how open drinking and dining lead to fast mass infection.

My close friend contribution :-
(1) Dining in at restaurants - 1 person infected, pass to several others is a fact.
(2)They may be sharing same menu, use same condiments sets etc
(3) E.g.. Chilli sauce, we pass from table to table.
(4) Look like dining in is a problem area of cross infection.
(5) Singapore 1st big cluster come from the restaurant in Jurong.

[2:07 pm, 16/05/2020] : Restaurants should have to take bookings only, no walk-in. Tables far apart. Same households only (ID checked) at each table, servers wear masks.

Ben
[2:08 pm, 16/05/2020] : Yes, no buffets allowed please!
[2:09 pm, 16/05/2020] : Cinemas with alternate rows closed and gaps of 2 seats between each viewer.
[2:10 pm, 16/05/2020] : Only prepacked concession, no free flow popcorn and soda.
[2:11 pm, 16/05/2020] : Outdoor seating only at bars, safe distancing seating and servers with masks. Or perhaps online ordering and self collection from counter.

As of 12pm, MOH has preliminarily confirmed an additional 465 cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore.
Majority are Work Permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.
Of the 465 cases, 4 are Singaporeans/PRs.
MOH will share further updates in its press release that will be issued later tonight.

Wonder why still have 4 SC PR after so many days of circuit breaker?
Are there still undetected clusters lurking around?

Caleb
[6:01 pm, 16/05/2020] : guess it's workers in the construction sector

Ben
[6:13 pm, 16/05/2020] : It would be good if they can give us an idea of where theSC/PR cases have come from over the last week.

CQ
[6:15 pm, 16/05/2020] : When they provide the daily breakdown, they do indicate if there's a cluster where they're linked to, but only where there's a cluster. MOH has stopped providing the details of where the patient is from and where he's been to for quite a while already. Those details would've been good, but i think it'd be too tedious for those preparing the document.

[6:16 pm, 16/05/2020] : I do kinda miss seeing those details though!
