Wonder what type of rocket are these terror suspects possessed and how are they going to launch it without being detected.
Also wonder what is the range of this rocket?
This cross border attack is very serious.

Thinking aloud, iron drome may come in useful to be deploy in offshore islands to intercept such possible threat.
Also, thinking aloud, should Patriot batteries and even Aegis anti-missile batteries be considered to do a longer range interception if situation warrant.

The range of THAAD is 200km.(too far - exceeded the range).
The range of Patriot is 70 - 100km. (Much more expensive then Iron Drome).
The range of Iron Drome is 70km.(More cost effective anti-missile defense).

it is quoted that the minimum land distance between batam and SG is 5.8km.
easily reachable even with heavy mortars or even some infantry ones, not to talk about rockets.
next time go outside better be alert and hear if there are any strange sounds from the sky. terrorists say they wanna hit somewhere but who knows how accurate their rockets are, maybe hit residential area also dunno.
better go temple more often LOL pray that supernatural power help you, blow strong wind to make the rocket fly away from you.

The mile based measurement distance is 19.3 milesEarlier search show 66km.Is Singapore to Batam only 5.8km?Thought Singapore to Johore is possible.

The thoughts are indeed very scary! We are so near to these Indonesian islands that even when they fart we will get it. Luckily these people were caught. Can't imagine when these militants fire rockets during our National day celebrations and we think that it is fireworks going on.
- ricky l32 seconds agoThe flight path of the rockets or missiles will be illuminated, trace and tracked by the radar.If there are anomaly of flying objects from abnormal flight path, i believe the iron drome will be able to identify and take it down.
- 党国天朝41 minutes agomight be home made rockets that fly very low. radar cannot detect something that fly under a certain altitude. also, who knows if the chain of command towards the iron dome even works in time. never tested in real emergency before. when commander say fire, maybe already too late.
- ricky l31 seconds agoIron drome is combat tested and very good hit rate.It is a relatively effective system even for homemade missiles. It can even differentiate whether the rockets is landing on sites that need to be intercepted or heading into a site not worth intercepting.In fact US Army is contemplating to buy Iron drome.

Johnson37 minutes agoNot need fire from Batam, could also fire from small craft just outside Singapore waters. Also, could fire from bunker vessels or from any ship anchored within Singapore waters, if & when those ships / vessels temporarily immobilized or captured by assailants during darkness for a few hours. Marine police and navy must be vigilant and, with the help & cooperation of vessels at anchorages. Need to be prepared!

And then scramble a F16 within minutes to fire a harpoon missile on the offending ship and finished it off.
