If the driverless cars can be hired wirelessly by smartphone or notebook or mobile devices and come to HDB car park or private residential houses to pick up the hirers, then there will be less incentive to own cars.

But the livelihood of cab drivers and bus drivers will be in trouble.

Eg can book a car via internet say 4 seat capacity, to reach the address at say 10am on a certain date, and to travel to the destination address.

It is liken owning a car - as we can hire it as we need it.

Or even better if the driverless car are parked at the car park. As long as it is not in used, we can hop into the driverless car, key in the destination address, and the driverless car will send us there.

Then there is no incentive to own car.
