During his interview with the media yesterday, PM Lee called for Singaporeans' cooperation in measures such as
1) Safe distancing
2) Contact tracing and;
3) Staying home after returning from overseas.
How do these measures continue to affect you and what else could we do to show more care for others?

(1) As we see more and more unlink cases detected - 13, 14 and yesterday 9 cases, as well as double digit infected cases announced every day --- plus the huge number of infection worldwide ------ heightened sense of alerts are going on --- that some community spreading could be happening.
(2) Everyone can see that the Government is taking elevated measures - in social distancing that are happening in Singapore - taping tables, chairs, taping queues about 1 metres, discouraging non-essential congregations in mall etc.
(3) Will we go down fighting to stop the spread, or will we be able to fight with tenacity to come up on top of the virus?
(4) Let us see a chart from China infection, and S Korea infection.
Social distancing with surgical calibrated tightening up and down ---- can help to bring down the infection.
(5) In China, from the peack of 58,016 local infections down in 17 Feb to a low double digit infection in 22 Mar - shows that as long as "social distancing", Stay-Home-Notice, Quarantine, Contact tracing are done correctly and adhere to by the Community --- it is possible to defeat the covid-19 infection.
We also see lesser and lesser death cases in China as it progress from Feb 2020 to Mar 2020.
(6) Similarly in S Korea, at the peak of 10 Mar 2020 with 7,165 infection, proper "social distancing", Stay-Home-Notice, Quarantine, Contact tracing are done correctly and adhere to by the Community --- covid-19 infection can come down.
(7) So Singapore can take the cue from both China and S Korea - that as long as the Community, Individuals and the Government work hand-in-hand to practice "social distancing" ---- we can see a similar containment of the covid-19 infection local cluster transmission - and keep the numbers down as the virus will run its full course.
(8) Meanwhile, we see encouraging sign of treatment appearing --- as WHO announced a large global trial, called Solidarity - to run trials on the effectiveness of a drug called Remdesevir to treat Covid-19 patients - (Malaysia is participating).
"WHO is focusing on what it says are the four most promising therapies: an experimental antiviral compound called remdesivir; the malaria medications chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine; a combination of two HIV drugs, lopinavir and ritonavir; and that same combination plus interferon-beta, an immune system messenger that can help cripple viruses," Dr Noor Hisham posted.
(9) So let us hope the global trial on the treatment is successful.
It will certainly be a big relief -- if the treatment prove potent to defeat covid-19.
(10) At the same time, there are similar progress in the vaccine development - except that to start trial on healthy human or human with other conditions --- will take longer time than developing workable treatment (that will be used on covid-19 infected patients) - to ensure it is safe to used.
(11) So we hope that while the infection situation is getting grave --- we should not feel dejected and do down fighting.
As a Community should soldier on and fight with tenacity --- joining hand with the Global medical science community - to eventually to defeat covid-19.
(12) We can also feel the grief of the PM speech and the Cabinet Ministers, the frontline health workers and other frontline staff in contact tracing and other functions --- that the fight is draining everyone.
Other than protecting and saving lives, we also a mammoth task of protecting our industries, Economies and jobs ---- as the Globe lockdown.
(13) However, we feel that "at a long dark tunnel, we will be finally able to see light --- and eventually emerge from the long dark tunnel".
- Success in developing a standard treatment - is the light that we hope to see.
- Success in bringing down the number of infected cases and finally to zero - is another light.
- Success in developing vaccines to curb the virus --- is another light.
(14) So let us grit our teeth with "National Solidarity" and "Global Solidarity" --- while enduring the discomfort of "social distancning", "border control" and the temporary "Economic disruption" --- we must fight on with tenacity -- and one day we will emege to become the Winner and declare Victory over the covid-19.
(15) When that day comes - we can regroup and rebounce --- to work on the Economy and repair it.
(16) After note, China also touted the effectiveness of using TCM with Western drugs -- and we see good recovery in China for severe and mild cases --- wonder our medical team get any information on this --- as Singapore also use TCM quite pervasively like China and S Korea.
