If the Gulf States continue to depend heavily on oil - when alternatives such as shale oil, gas, green energy become more and more prevalent - then it will heavily impact the Economy.

Looking to diversify the Economy like Dubai - is all the more important to be less reliant on oil to drive its Economy.
