There are 3 pivotal points to resolve this South China Sea saga :-

(1) Peaceful resolution through dialogue and communication - based on respect to International law and ruling should be the modus operandi. By doing so, will communicate to the World that any thorny issues can be resolved diplomatically anchor on respect to International Law - so that members of International Community can inter-operate and coexist peacefully without resorting to force and settle issues through confrontation and conflict.

(2) The armada of 10 aircraft carriers (out of the 11 navy arsenal of US Navy) demonstrate the show of force in South China Sea. But it also symbolise 2 Giant Elephants confronting one another - and if a fight ensue, all the Countries in the Asia Pacific Region will be trampled and smashed. And the 2 Giant Elephants will also be seriously injured.

It serve no interest to all the Countries in the Asia Pacific and no interest to both China and US - to fight it out to settle the issue.

Dialogue and communication - consistent and persistent keeping in mind of International Law to guide the diplomacy is the only way out.

(3) Finally, disputant claimants "meeting mid-way" - will be the deal breaker.

"Meeting mid-way" is the Middle Path resolution mechanism - where it entail "Win-Win outcome", it entail "Compromise - where both parties win some and lose some" --- but the overall outcome - will be a bigger Win for both parties in long run - without the need to resort to confrontation or conflict.

But as emotion are still running high currently, this will take longer to materialise only when emotion subside and rational mind take over.

Back-door channel communication to baseline the "meeting mid-way" resolution (a long-drawn process) - may be the only way out.
