REACH 217 - New SafeEntry Gateway System (SK)

21 Apr 2021 (11am - 7pm)

REACH

[10:47 am, 21/04/2021] +REACH: Topic

Over 2,700 locations islandwide, including malls, cinemas, supermarkets and hospitals, now use the new SafeEntry Gateway devices. This allows visitors to tap their TraceTogether token, or phone with the TraceTogether app, on the devices to register their visit for contact tracing purposes.

Since the pandemic started, the various contact tracing methods Singapore has developed - including tech tools such as the SafeEntry system as well as genetic testing capabilities have helped with the nation's contact tracing efforts.

Have you used the new SafeEntry Gateway system? What are your views on the various contact tracing measures put in place as Singapore continues its fight against Covid-19?

Around eight in 10 quarantine orders are now served electronically, speeding up the process of ring-fencing Covid-19 clusters and saving on manpower.

At the start of the outbreak, the authorities used to take an average of four days to identify and quarantine a patient's close contacts. This has since dropped to around 1.5 days, in large part due to technology.

[11:04 am, 21/04/2021] +Caleb: SEGE is good, like ez-link or credit card paywave. Minimise fraction, and am tired of scanning QR codes at every places already.

[11:08 am, 21/04/2021] +Ben: Is the TT Token supposed to work everywhere that SE is required?

[11:10 am, 21/04/2021] +Ben: I have a friend who doesn't like using the TT app on the phone because it displays a record of everywhere he has been, and he can't delete it without reinstalling the app. It causes problems at home because he sometimes gets a beer against his wife's wishes!

[11:10 am, 21/04/2021] +Ben: Why can't we delete the SE data on the app?

[11:10 am, 21/04/2021] +Caleb: then scan NRIC at the entry lor

[11:10 am, 21/04/2021] +Boon:

[11:10 am, 21/04/2021] +Caleb: no record on the phone

[11:11 am, 21/04/2021] +Ben: Yes, that what I said - use the TT Token, but he said some places don't accept it. Is that right?

[11:11 am, 21/04/2021] +Caleb: this one gov need to answer

[11:11 am, 21/04/2021] +Caleb: lol

[11:11 am, 21/04/2021] +Caleb: then use phone to scan the QR code, dont use singpass or TT app to scan

[11:12 am, 21/04/2021] +Ben: oh, you can just scan the QR code like you would a food menu?

[11:13 am, 21/04/2021] +Linda: Yes still can just scan the QR code

[11:13 am, 21/04/2021] +Ben: oh, thanks.

[11:13 am, 21/04/2021] +Ben: He uses Singpass at the moment, which you can delete the history from, but I told him they are phasing out Singpass for SE....

[11:13 am, 21/04/2021] +Caleb: am not sure when Gov will implement TraceTogether SafeEntry

[11:13 am, 21/04/2021] +Linda: Yes some cafes

[11:13 am, 21/04/2021] +Caleb: means only can use TT app or Token

[11:13 am, 21/04/2021] +Linda: Which I went to

[11:33 am, 21/04/2021] +jimmy chew: It's fantastic but I heard that it double record entries if you happen to be the vicinity passing thru. Is this true?

[11:35 am, 21/04/2021] +YT: Can the authorities please step up enforcement on mask-wearing?

So many people are lowering their masks or not wearing them properly! This is no time to be complacent when all around us, many countries are experiencing a resurgence in infection rates!

Please, do something before it's too late.

I even see stall holders not wearing their masks or lowered their masks when cooking or serving food. If they are infected, then the people they serve will similarly be infected.

And people waiting at bus stops with masks lowered. Also, groups of people standing around talking and laughing without masks.

Remember: We are just one super spreader away from having a Healthcare disaster!

[11:41 am, 21/04/2021] +Elena Woo: I think our borders need to be tightened esp with new mutant and double strains and increase the no. Of days for quarantine. Why are we even reducing to 7 days? If not we will have a sudden community outbreak that will go out of control.

[11:44 am, 21/04/2021] +Caleb: Maybe do double test. To double confirm

[11:44 am, 21/04/2021] +Caleb: Or 1 PCR, the other one use breath test.

[11:45 am, 21/04/2021] +Eunice Chia: i think this is timely.  https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/covid-19-india-hong-kong-travellers-stay-home-notice-moh-14658960

[11:56 am, 21/04/2021] +Leonard Lau: Isn’t the TT and SafeEntry in the same app?

[11:56 am, 21/04/2021] +Caleb: Means SafeEntry can only be done via TT app or token. Cannot use nric to scan

[11:57 am, 21/04/2021] +Caleb: Cannot use hp to scan qr code too. Unless use TT app

[11:57 am, 21/04/2021] +Caleb: Meaning everyone need to have either TT app or token. Else u can't go anywhere other then coffeeshops which does not enforce SafeEntry.

[0:11 pm, 21/04/2021] +jimmy chew: https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/courts-crime/businessman-linked-to-alleged-1-billion-fraud-faces-more-charges

[0:11 pm, 21/04/2021] +jimmy chew: This guy cheated More that 1 billion and penalty is 10 yrs imprisonment. He would have earned 100,000,000 a year. Is my calculations right?

[0:12 pm, 21/04/2021] ☸️  Danny :

1. The new safeentry gateway systems are found almost everywhere in shopping malls, supermarkets, cc etc.

2. It is easy to use, just using my safeentry token  to scan a few centimetres away.

3. When enter into shops without the gateway, they use handheld scanner to scan my token qr code.

4. At any time, no need to brandish my handphone or IC.

[0:24 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

1. Wonder how many has  got its 1st vaccination jab?

2. How many 2nd jab?

3. How many more to go?

[0:25 pm, 21/04/2021] +Desmond Koh: you can file a PQ :)

[0:26 pm, 21/04/2021] +Rama: my first jab last Saturday at Polyclinic.  Second in two weeks time.

[0:27 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

1. I also got my 1st jab.

2. Got some side effects - upper arm painful for a day.

3. But fully recover now.

[0:28 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

The faster more people get their vaccination, the faster our Economy can open up.

[0:29 pm, 21/04/2021] +Kevin: Not true, please dont spread false news

[0:30 pm, 21/04/2021] +Rama: not necessarily

[0:30 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny : https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/world/masks-come-off-israel-covid-19-vaccine-pfizer-14646688                                                                                                                                                              Israel declare victory over covid-19 - and mask off hailing Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine success.

[0:30 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny : https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/travel/travel-news/israel-to-start-welcoming-international-tourists-after-a-year-long-break/as82086907.cms

Israel to start welcoming international tourists after a year-long break

[0:31 pm, 21/04/2021] +Caleb:

[0:31 pm, 21/04/2021] +Caleb: Will sg be like that too?

[0:32 pm, 21/04/2021] ☸  Danny :

I think we may not mask off.

But higher degree of openness may be possible.

[0:33 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: Have not seen this new device to be honest. Contact tracing measures are adequate but Safe Management Measures are NOT. Too much crowd everywhere these days and people are no longer following the rules. Masks off eating and drinking while walking in public places, masks on the chin while walking around the public etc

[0:34 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: I wont be surprised if community or dorm cases increases and we get to single digit numbers everyday.

[0:37 pm, 21/04/2021] +Rama: Beware complacency will result in!?

[0:59 pm, 21/04/2021] +ysum!: but on a more serious note, I'm guessing it's to prevent any alteration (including deletion) of the data to preserve the integrity of it as this data is only captured on the individual's phone and may be requested by the authorities should the need arise. That said, it may still be possible to just allow the history to be hidden instead? Just my two cents

[1:12 pm, 21/04/2021] ☸  Danny :

1. This should be the right and final outcome of vaccination.

2. I am glad that Israel is leading the way - and serve as a good model for study.

3. We still have a couple of months to go before reaching herd immunity.

4. Israel outcome after a few months will let the world study and decide how we open our economy after achieving herd immunity through vaccination.

5. This should be our ultimate goal in vaccination to defeat covid pandemic - and not be a slavery to the pandemic.

[1:17 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

1. Our investment on safeentry token and gateway are not wasted - because contact tracing will still be some months to go.

2. The reusable masks will still be useful.

3. Eventually when the world declare this covid pandemic defeated - all the contact tracing, reusable masks should still be kept - in case disease X surface.

4. Else it will still be useful to control flu or common cold.

[2:03 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCclJghk7Vs                                                                                            Israel health authority now figuring how to deal with those who refuse vaccines. The world government will soon have to ponder how to get those unvaccinated to get their jab.

[2:14 pm, 21/04/2021] +Valli: Our economy cannot open up until we have zero numbers for travellers testing positive coming into spore. .

If the India new variant virus is detected in Spore, the existing Vaccine does not provide protection.

[2:16 pm, 21/04/2021] +Valli: Israel is just waiting for another wave to happen.

[2:17 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

MOH will have to conduct a careful study.

Israel is a good model to study.

I believe MOH will work closely with WHO and the world to synchronise the efforts to open up.

Else perpetually humans will be defeated by the covid pandemic.

[3:30 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

Also just want to relate that those who turn on Bluetooth using handphone - can be connected easily.

Whereas those using token can't be pair and connected via Bluetooth.

[3:32 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

Token can't be pair and connected easily.

[3:32 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

Handphone with Bluetooth can be pair with pin code.

[3:32 pm, 21/04/2021] +Kevin: Because you dont know how to pair

[3:33 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

Token how to pair without pin!

[3:34 pm, 21/04/2021] +Kevin: Dont be stupid la, then those Bluetooth earpiece no pin then why can pair.

[3:34 pm, 21/04/2021] +REACH: Dear Contributors, lets be courteous to one another so that we can have a conducive discussion.

[3:34 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

Even if token can be pin, data encrypted.

No phone data loss

[3:34 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

Token got pin.

Earpiece no pin.

[3:35 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: Which token are you referring to?

[3:35 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

Only want to highlight, those using handphone with Bluetooth on - got to be careful.

[3:35 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

Safe entry.

[3:36 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: this is done by MOH staff IIRC

[3:36 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: or whoever issue the token will pair it for us

[3:36 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: cos it's tied to NRIC

[3:36 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: cannot anyhow pair

[3:38 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

That's why safeentry token is safer.

[3:40 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: yes agree

[3:40 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: i tot we already went through this before right?

[3:40 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: no need to repeat again

[3:41 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

Because I see still many people using handphone and not their token.

[3:43 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: cos ppl lazy to carry both

[3:44 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

Then they have to know the risk.

[3:44 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: since we always have our phones with us, lazy ppl will just use that to scan

[3:47 pm, 21/04/2021] +Caleb: Ya lor

[3:49 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: this is like harping that when you use Facebook, you give up privacy

[3:49 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: but ppl still use it

[3:50 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: dun go that road lah... very boring hear you rant about bluetooth again

[3:52 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

Well some people I talk to don't know the risk.

They say "Zheng Hu" say can, means it is safe.

Until I show them.

[3:53 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

Then they ask, how can "Zheng Hu" never tell them the risk?

[3:55 pm, 21/04/2021] +Rama:

[4:00 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: I'm sure Facebook and Google doesn't outright tell you the risk when using their platform too

[4:00 pm, 21/04/2021] +Caleb: WhatsApp too

[4:00 pm, 21/04/2021] +Caleb: Everything also got risk

[4:00 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: When we born into this world, the gynae also never tell us the risk of living too.

[4:02 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: If you're not paying for the product, you are the product.

[4:03 pm, 21/04/2021] ☸  Danny :

So it means ignorance is a virtue.

[4:04 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

To be lax in security is an excuse.

[4:06 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: WhatsApp very secure? If not how come you still here?

[4:08 pm, 21/04/2021] +CQ: definition of a "virtue". pretty sure ignorance is not a behaviour showing "high moral standards"

[4:09 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

Can you can use.

It is up to you.

If your phone got hack and your bank transaction stolen - it is your decision - don't blame the government.

But for those who are ignorance, at least they must be informed - if govt can be absolved from legal liability.

[4:09 pm, 21/04/2021] +Leonard Lau: Please minded that most policy makers  has to take a system thinking approach when deciding a decison .  There will be pro and con in a solution .

[4:10 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: So got risk how come you still using?

[4:11 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

Pse read the response above.

[4:11 pm, 21/04/2021] +Phyllis: Ignorance is bliss.

Hiyoooooh!

[4:12 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny : https://www.todayonline.com/singapore/explainer-100-million-internet-connected-devices-could-be-hacked-due-namewreck-bug-should

Explainer: 100 million internet-connected devices could be hacked due to the Name:Wreck bug, but should you be concerned?

[4:12 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: So you're the ignorant one?

[4:12 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

Well no point arguing with you.

[4:13 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: Oh... you're the blissful one sorry my bad

Multiple DNS Vulnerabilities affecting over 100 million devices

[4:17 pm, 21/04/2021] +Rama: correct

[4:18 pm, 21/04/2021] +Rama:

[4:20 pm, 21/04/2021] ☸  Danny :

As a rule of thumb, all IT systems have to undergo penetrative testing and vulnerability scanning by independent parties before a system can roll out to the public.

Whether such practices has been discarded already?

[4:23 pm, 21/04/2021] +Ben: Agreed, but equally can we please not have the forum hijacked by Bluetooth debate again!

[4:23 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

Isn't this safeentry topic?

[4:23 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

How to pass security audit?

[4:24 pm, 21/04/2021] +Ben: Erm.... maybe but what is the new information being presented? This has been covered many times before

[4:24 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: omfg you link bluetooth vulnerability to safeentry?

[4:25 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

Safeentry not using Bluetooth?

[4:25 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

Got issues cannot highlights?

Must hide under the bed?

[4:26 pm, 21/04/2021] +Ben: Ok, then how many cases of BT scams have there been since SE was introduced?

[4:26 pm, 21/04/2021] +Ben: 1 year ago

[4:27 pm, 21/04/2021] +Ben: Or since Fitbit was launched, or Garmin etc they all link to phones via BT

[4:27 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: like that i link to radio wave can? i scared cause me cancer

[4:27 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: might as well throw away my mobile phone

[4:27 pm, 21/04/2021] +Phyllis: @REACH Singapore maybe something needs to be done on this Bluetooth debate.

Its been going on and on and on and on.... ‍♀

[4:28 pm, 21/04/2021] +Ben: Yes, agreed. I'm not getting drawn in again

[4:28 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: now i know why Nat left this chat group

[4:28 pm, 21/04/2021] ☸  Danny :

Ya, resolve it, then it will stop.

[4:28 pm, 21/04/2021] +Kevin: Tia gong take handphone will have cancer

[4:28 pm, 21/04/2021] +Phyllis: Zen beng. Take it elsewhere la. This is not IT forum.

[4:29 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: if bluetooth/china guy agenda is to get people who give good feedback to leave this chat group, he is succeeding cos i really feel like leaving too

[4:29 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

Today topic safeentry right!

[4:29 pm, 21/04/2021] +Phyllis: See see see, you chase pple away with your repetitive theories. Stop it already.

[4:30 pm, 21/04/2021] +Kevin: Safe entry got blue tooth related?

[4:30 pm, 21/04/2021] ☸  Danny :

If cannot discuss rationally then be it.

[4:30 pm, 21/04/2021] +Kevin: I never on my blue tooth I can scan my safe entry leh

[4:30 pm, 21/04/2021] +Phyllis: Can discuss but wrong chat. Thank you.

[4:30 pm, 21/04/2021] ☸  Danny :

Safeentry gateway use Bluetooth.

Check the fact.

[4:31 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

Safeentry topic right?

Why wrong chat?

[4:31 pm, 21/04/2021] +Phyllis: ‍♀‍♀‍♀‍♀‍♀‍♀‍♀‍♀‍♀

[4:32 pm, 21/04/2021] ☸  Danny :

If one day someone got hack related to this Bluetooth - then someone sue, don't say this topic never discussed - but hide under.

[4:32 pm, 21/04/2021] +Phyllis: Whatever topic, be it safe entry anot you still bring up your Bluetooth debates. You okay anot.

[4:33 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: Hey REACH, here is a feedback for you. You want real constructive feedback? Ask us about the topic we want to give and open the floor. Filter your chat groups into respective domains, eg. bluetooth/china guy can be in Tech and Foreign Affairs group, can have others like Transport for Nat and Biomedical for another, etc

[4:33 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: you lump everyone into a generic group but so many silent majority here end up only a few will speak up

[4:33 pm, 21/04/2021] +CQ: Yeah, I agree...

[4:34 pm, 21/04/2021] +Phyllis: Yes sir!

[4:39 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

The purpose of Reach is to improve the governance and government system.

If public discover something, then a responsible citizen will feed back to make the system better so that it will benefit everyone.

If someone feels that this is not the right way to do, then be it.

I am not here to please you.

[4:42 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

If the feedback is make but no response, of course people will raise it again if the issue is not address or patch up.

[4:34 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: But those that speak up will keep saying the same few topics cos we use to say the same thing over and over again

[4:34 pm, 21/04/2021] +Ben: There could a problem with people feeling fatigued, or not willing to participate because things go very off topic or get hi-jacked. You have the data on what % each person contributes.

[4:34 pm, 21/04/2021] +Rama: LET THIS WORK

[4:35 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: End up no one will say anything anymore cos repetition is a creativity killer

[4:35 pm, 21/04/2021] +Kevin: Bluetooth belong to IT department not reach

[4:36 pm, 21/04/2021] +Ben: I came back to 60 messages about BT security and it wasn't constructive at all.

[4:36 pm, 21/04/2021] +CQI thought when we signed up, we were asked to indicate the topics we were interested in. So I thought that would be taken into consideration, but all we have is generic group chats which have very vague/no direction.

[4:37 pm, 21/04/2021] +Phyllis: Each time I come here its always this! ‍♀

[4:37 pm, 21/04/2021] +Ben: I'm not sure we should be put into different categories, because the 'general' view is important and exposes us to things we may not know much about.

[4:37 pm, 21/04/2021] +Rama: has giving a topic lost its relevance!?

[4:37 pm, 21/04/2021] +Ben: Maybe @+REACH can step in more pro-actively when things go too far off-topic or just become repetitive?

[4:38 pm, 21/04/2021] +Ben: REACH I mean

[4:38 pm, 21/04/2021] +Phyllis: Yes like put on mute!

[4:38 pm, 21/04/2021] +Ben: Or given a reminder, then a warning

[4:40 pm, 21/04/2021] +YT: People, back to the topic, please. In my opinion, the various contact tracing avenues or methods used by the government seems to be working judging from.our rather low community cases. However, I hope that the powers that be would not be complacent but would continously look for ways to do better contact tracing and ringfencing confirmed cases. Also, there should be regular audits to prevent abuse - both by the Custodians of the information, as well as those who think they can beat the system and 'escape' SHN or quarantine.

[4:42 pm, 21/04/2021] +CQI don't know if the low comm numbers are really because there are none, or it's just none that we know of yet...

[4:43 pm, 21/04/2021] +Ben: Gov did a great job rolling this out so quickly and reliably. Despite the 'only used for health care' slip up, it's proven to be very effective. I'm looking forward to a Single Scan for malls etc. As a suggestion - can't a cafe or similar just have a token by the door so our BT devices would automatically be registered when we walk past them? This would save the time needed to open the app etc.

[4:44 pm, 21/04/2021] +Ben: Contact tracing has been a huge part of the fight against covid and SG was able to enforce this very well.

[4:47 pm, 21/04/2021] +Caleb: +1

[4:52 pm, 21/04/2021] +Caleb: back to COVID: hope the 2 companies that do breath test can officially approve, then it will be easier

[4:52 pm, 21/04/2021] +Caleb: as some ppl who are sick, dont want to get poke...

[4:53 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: 1 community infection among 15 new Covid-19 cases in S'pore

https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/1-community-infection-among-15-new-covid-19-cases-in-spore

[4:54 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: I mentioned earlier I won't be surprised if we have single digit infection everyday for community/dorm cases.

[4:54 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: But if this carries one, there's a few likely unlink cases lurking our detection.

[4:54 pm, 21/04/2021] +Alvin Lim: *outside our detection

[5:09 pm, 21/04/2021] +Christine: if anyone interested in the national COVID-19 vaccination status, can go to https://www.moh.gov.sg/covid-19/vaccination

[5:10 pm, 21/04/2021] +Ben: Thanks - that's excellent! And good to see we are being disciplined with administering the second dose at the correct time.

[5:16 pm, 21/04/2021] +Christine: MOH websites has tons of information that you can go through if you are interested to find out more about the cases. more direct source than the newspaper. :)

[5:23 pm, 21/04/2021] +XaniceAfcai: Not every shop has scanner. Some shop eg guardian, unity dun even bother ppls scan entry scan or not. Then how to address this?

[5:26 pm, 21/04/2021] +Caleb: soon, once everyone on TT app/token only

[5:27 pm, 21/04/2021] +Caleb: then no need SE eveywhere inside those shops

[5:28 pm, 21/04/2021] +Ken: Lol

[5:28 pm, 21/04/2021] +XaniceAfcai: Did u report via oneservice app? I did report a number of cases.

Nea even call me to updates that they have alr warn the stall owner. Fr then, that stall owner wore mask.

Now, ppls alr open their own p4.... No mask when riding  lift to carpark, scroll ard neighbourhood.... Students all half chin mask(fashion?)....

1 person even with face shield told that student off to wear mask properly.

[5:28 pm, 21/04/2021] +Rama: True

[5:44 pm, 21/04/2021] +XaniceAfcai: I saw some auntie was declined fr gg into the shop bec she dun have the qr code on the phone.

[5:46 pm, 21/04/2021] +XaniceAfcai: Also what is the purpose of qr code at mrt station. I hardy seen ppl scanning. Some mrt station paste the code until crumble and misalignment... Cant even scan..

[5:58 pm, 21/04/2021] +Ben: True, I have never scanned at MRT..... although now most places I visit are in my favourites so I can check in as I enter with no need to stop and scan. Very useful for the mall and supermarket!

[5:58 pm, 21/04/2021] +Rama: misinformed retail staff can make things difficult

[5:59 pm, 21/04/2021] +Rama: agree

[5:59 pm, 21/04/2021] +Rama: rare occasion

[6:08 pm, 21/04/2021] +Stella Yip: https://www.zaobao.com.sg/news/singapore/story20210420-1140814

[6:10 pm, 21/04/2021] +Stella Yip: I thought incoming need to serve SHN at approved facilities. Rules changed? She can take taxi from airport straight to her sister's place?

[6:10 pm, 21/04/2021] +Stella Yip: Then if she got covid 19 how?

[6:12 pm, 21/04/2021] +Rama: illegal short cut!?

[6:14 pm, 21/04/2021] +Stella Yip: If illegal shortcut, then she still dare to don't pay taxi fare of 50 bucks ‍♀

[6:19 pm, 21/04/2021] +XaniceAfcai: I have a case which was reported via oneservice app and reoccurance since last july and being kicked like a ball to diff agencies. Unlike i , involve mp and police.

Till now, there is police case every mth. I tot this mth can rest but..... Someone reported to the police b4 me. Sigh..

[6:20 pm, 21/04/2021] +XaniceAfcai: Initially , i scan but just wondering what is the pt when no one scan...

Xx mrt station pasting of almost 80% of qr code are horrible

[6:22 pm, 21/04/2021] +Caleb:

[6:27 pm, 21/04/2021] +Rama: paper work, cost and court time too much but sentence !?

[6:43 pm, 21/04/2021] ☸  Danny :

For me very simple.

As staff we hand over the system properly to our custodian to make sure that everything is proper - and do whatever is humanely possible.

This has been my principles when I started my career.

All my previous boss expect this of me.

And I expect this from all my staff.

Similarly, we also want to feedback to improve the governance and government system if we discover something that is not going right.

Just not too long ago, we have provided numerous feedback to patch up the singhealth hacking - where many citizens data are lost to State sponsor APT hackers.

So similar, I am paranoid that again I discover this vulnerability, and naturally I will raise the alert if this loopholes is not patch up.

Nowadays, handphone is our financial tool - whereby e-commerce, e-banking and many sensitive financial transactions are done through the handphone.

In future, when digital banking is kick off, many people will rely solely on handphone to do banking and epayment.

So how can don't address this vulnerability if we spotted it?

The example I show here is one step away from planting a malware keylogger to take over the handphone.

And in future, the person will lose all his money when he do e-banking using his phone.

[6:45 pm, 21/04/2021] +XaniceAfcai: What is she doing at changi in the first place

[6:47 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :

Previously, we go through at least 3 rounds of penetrative testing and vulnerability scanning before we commission the IT system - to ensure the security of our system are intact.

To date, multiple million of people use the system without downtime and without security breaches.

This is what my bosses expected from me, and what I demand from my staff.

[6:49 pm, 21/04/2021] +XaniceAfcai: Then u got to ask why many parties involve kick me around.

Eg ask me to call 24hr enforcement hotline. Call twice, monitor 2 hrs, no action to come n catch  sinkies.

The hdb n tc ask me to call their hotline. I saw u all got 24hr meh... I call mata better. Trigger mp to support.

[6:49 pm, 21/04/2021]   Danny :
