1. It is good that the China President attend the climate meeting called by the US President. 

2. At least a window of cooperation is open up - despite glitches in other issues. 

3. At least, this is an "ice breaker", a platform for high level talk - that can leverage on - in case other thorny issues raise temperature - and go beyond control.
