Partnering with China tech firm Huawei - is a good strategic move - as this will map our Digital ecommerce and Digital Economy to catalyse and facilitate the One Belt One Road (OBOR) initiative as well the impending RCEP multi-lateral trade deals.

Building high-rise green data centres will help to host many eCommerce data arising from the OBOR and RCEP - where China will be willing to make Singapore a secondary hosting sites, a disaster recovery centres or a trusted regional hosting centres for the region.

This is opening a 2nd wing Digitial Economy in preparation for the Digital Economy brought about by the OBOR and the RCEP.

This Digitial eCommerce will fuel digitial commerce and digital business transaction - that will help to induce trade of goods and services along the OBOR corridor - and will lead to more ports activities and financial activities.
